Hello everyone, I'm looking to be #Fedihired. I'm looking for #Linux #DevOps work. I have 5 years software industry experience, and a B. Sc, in Computer Science. My resume is on my website, as is linked in my Bio. I'm excellent at #SelfHosting, cloud administration, all things networking, #Wireguard, and infrastructure design. I've been recently doing #infosec consulting; looking for more. I'm a #Canadian. I have lots of experience with technologies like #postgresql, #MariaDB, #nginx, #dns, #ssl, forums, #containers, #docker, etc. Also, recently automating things with #ansible. I'm posting this from my own #gotosocial instance. The #fediverse and #DataSovereignty are things I care about, and I give back to these things.

Yesterday I made a "poor-man's VLAN" out of an old DD-WRT router. I put a Windows box behind it, isolated away from the rest of my homelab. I can RDP into the Windows box with Remmina, as well as #syncthing and ssh/sftp. This is all through a #Wireguard tunnel. The Chris Titus Tech utility was awesome to install all these Windows things. Normally I hate Windows, but that CTT tool made it palatable. I basically made a sort of trash containment system made out of networking, with one #Windows box in it. #OpenSource #SelfHosting #infosec #Microsoft
I tried out #tailscale today, and am making a rocky start to hosting my own #headscale server. I normally dislike #Discord, but made an exception to enter their chat forum - where I eventually got helped with my config troubles. I have a working config now, so I'm grateful for the help I got.
