@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org For bats, for anyone wondering, "contact with bat" means "unless you watched the bat every minute from when it entered the space you are in until it was secured and removed, you assume you got bit and need treatment."
Many bats can bite a person without them noticing, especially if the person is asleep. If there is ANY doubt, get treated immediately.

@evacide@hachyderm.io At least the fix is simple: they're going to add this to the config:
"Please, please, pretty please do not change the email on any accounts that it shouldn't be changed on, like if they're famous or Mark or something, please! I'm begging you!"

@adamshostack@infosec.exchange It's not an information retrieval machine. It's a sentence generator that has an extremely poor record of matching facts and wastes tremendous resources while stealing from artists, writers, and academics. It does not cannot, and will never retrieve information (yes, even with RAG, which is an overfit model masquerading as an index). Maybe look something up in an authoritative source instead?

@tsyum@thepit.social I think GAN (generative adversarial network) might be broad enough. They (very oversimplified) generate noise and then refine it into something that trips a computer vision model so they "know" they've generated an image. They can be combined with LLMs to work with narrative text.

@Nonya_Bidniss@infosec.exchange You might want to reconsider reposting this... It's factually wrong and at least partly AI generated. I suspect it's copypasta from one of the misinformation groups that tries to create conflict where there really isn't any. Seems to have originated on Facebook where such stuff is rife.

@JoBlakely@mastodon.social I usually check to see if they're tracking links or just an encoded URL before using. I avoid trackers - especially big corporate trackers - like the plague. I also develop a rash whenever someone sends me an email with a QR code in it. Yeesh.
