Five security reports within 20 minutes, from the same user, all scored as high as possible (and of course wrongly), broken formatting copy-pasted from an LLM, security policy and thread model completely ignored, and the two comments I so far got on closing two of these also sound like they fell straight out of a slopbot.
In other news, *definitely* going to go with a summer of bliss approach as well (as invented by @bagder@mastodon.social).
And will overhaul the security policy a bit.
I consider writing software a kind of craftsmanship. It's important to me to think through what I build, to consciously make design decisions based on knowledge and the existing problem space. To understand why things work (or not!) and be able to solve problems as they come up. To keep things readable, understandable, maintainable.
In the end, I want to be proud of what *I* build.
Needed a short fun break and just added a little something to OctoPrint's README, powered by shields.io.

With more and more studies showing regular (gen)AI use to have a negative impact on cognitive skills, and me now knowing that my genes carry a higher dementia risk (I'm currently supporting my mom through her diagnosis), I can tell you that this is yet another reason (on top of *plenty* others) for me to stay THE FUCK away from most of these tools and only use them in very rare and limited cases.

Not a horrible amount here so far, especially not compared to you, but managing expectations is always a good idea, and also clarifying the whole situation, even on smaller projects.

Went #bouldering again this morning and made some progress on the pictured route.
Sadly my vertigo triggered and got a bit into the way of the second half of the session, but all in all once again a case of: I went & I did my best 💪

Not in my best shape: had a lot of trouble holding on to stuff I usually have no issues with, and also my fear of heights had a (hopefully temporary) comeback.
But despite this frustration, the important thing is that I went and did what I could, and for the first time in weeks without being dizzy AF!

@blinry@chaos.social I also seem to match the water pressure with my lungs. As in, the deeper I go, the more pressure I put towards my nostrils to keep the water out. If that make sense.
I've gone down to 5m for up to 2min in the past. Thoroughly enjoyed that. These days my eardrums aren't as flexible as they used to be and I get ear aches when I go deep too fast, despite constant pressure equalisation.

@blinry@chaos.social from what my parents tell me, I spent more time under water than above water in the kiddie pool, even long before I could swim. Water for some reason clicked with, diving especially.
I do remember worrying about water entering my nose but figuring out early on that it couldn't do that when blowing bubbles out of my nose. So to this day I push out a tiny amount of air when I go under, stop when my face looks forward or down, but start again when I look up or dive down.

@tortoc Sadly don't have a hint for you. Actually haven't touched mine ever since the event for the same reason.
And now that it's been a few months, I'm indeed pretty sure that was my last event from this orga/event chain. When I look back at both CCCamps I've been to I just smile at all the great memories. When I look back at WHY I mostly remember bad stuff like the badge and the water situation, the expensive food etc.
Kinda sad, but I'm too old for that shit 😄
