They have graduated from cheap VMs on Huawei Cloud and Digital Ocean to random IoTs in millions of households and mobile devices in millions of hands. A few days ago I was able to measure over a thousand simultaneous sessions, each from a different /16 network. My response to that isn’t taking the site down, but I am shedding load aggressively.

I hadn’t built OpenSSL from source in *decades*, and I don’t recall it using so much Perl. I’ve been doing the configure/fix/configure/make/fix/make/fix.. process with a dozen yum and/or cpan invocations as the fixes. Needed on a CentOS 6.10 machine with Perl 5.10 as the base. Oh. It’s a mistake to look at a national government as if it were a normal economic actor with a need to balance income and spending. It’s more useful to view those activities as destruction and creation of money in various sectors. Taxing billionaires reduces their money supply, putting deflationary pressure disproportionately on the goods and services that they purchase disproportionately, such as financial instruments.

You can certainly get a device that will do all the needed measurements and calculations for you for WBGT, but it is doing multiple measurements: WBT (or dew point,) DBT, and "black globe bulb temperature." WBGT is defined as a value calculated from those 3 measured values. WBT is directly measured by a thermometer with a wet wick on the bulb.

However, very few employers have (or are able to build) the in-house capacity to administer the nuanced policy needed to secure employer data from leakage without infringing on user privacy. Keep work and personal devices and data separate.

As I understand it, ZFS lacks the metadata redundancy it would need to figure out how to fsck the problems that can happen. OTOH, it as been a very long time since ZFS lost data on me. 18 years at least, since it was on an early version of Solaris 10. Sun originally claimed that the only way for ZFS to lose data was simultaneous disk failures.

The same zone in the internal view has 37 A records and a single AAAA resolving to v4->v6 mapped address with an internal IP. I no longer have a second external view specially crafted for miscreants. As a consequence, we have a technology worker class accustomed to high compensation and endless work to earn it. @JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange I have set up my PayPal *savings* to pull money through my credit union debit card periodically — primarily as an automatic savings measure, not loss firewalling — which effectively makes money inaccessible from the CU account. Making it spendable at all would require a manual PayPal transfer. This would be weakened if both accounts could be accessed with the content of a password vault alone. My CU uses a live face shot and PayPal uses either a device-bound passkey or TOTP.
