That’s not their skill or career choice, but I was relieved when she made that statement. Also, knowing her shows, her opening acts are not shy about politics. So, I was pretty sure she wasn’t Republican. OTOH, she’s also a brilliant marketer, and she knows her demographic. It could be because she knows what makes money.

@feff OK, so not terribly useful for me. I’d just like better iCloud access. This honestly feels like the Mac in the late 90’s, where most things aren’t compatible so you scrap for anything that works.

I’m not certain there was much space between the people that supported Fetterman and the people that supported Mandani, but Mandani didn’t have all of the red flags, like pulling a shotgun on a black jogger.

@danirabbit@mastodon.online I live “vegan + bacon”, almost literally. Vegetarian is the wrong direction. It does little to alleviate environmental damage, animal suffering, and the industrial farming complex. Go vegan 90% of the time and you’re 90% better, but you also don’t miss out on holiday treats you remember, and the occasional cheat because you had a rough week.

@markmetz@sfba.social How is this better than pulped cellulose or cornstarch, which is already in use? As with the other plant based polystyrene substitutes, there are likely applications it doesn’t work due to permeability.

@handmade_ghost@sunny.garden Alt: A turtle climbes onto a log in a still lake. By the log, a rod, that looks like it might be for measuring flood levels, sticks a few inches out of the water. If it is a flood meter, the water must be pretty high. As the turtle is climbing onto the log, it strains its neck up high, as if to be taller than the rod. Possibly, it sees the rod as a potential competitor or something, but that is my conjecture.
