Bike Helmets: Stupid Hat or Essential Protection?
A very nuanced video explaining (among other things) how helmets don't necessarily lead to riskier behavior or dehumanization (like many anti-helmet people claim), nor that the risk of injury is big at all in most circumstances (like many pro-helmet people claim).
I did miss the inconvenience factor of always having to bring the helmet everywhere you go though, even when not cycling.

Ik zocht vandaag bij zowel de Jumbo als de Albert Heijn in Amsterdam naar een #vegan #diepvriespizza, maar van de 30 verschillende soorten per winkel is er geen een plantaardig. 😠
Last year I tried to move away from Gmail, and I tried out Tutamail (from @Tutanota@mastodon.social) for almost a year now. I am really sympathetic to the company, but their email solution is just not working for me. Text-only emails sometimes take up to 30 seconds to load in the webapp, the search is horrible, and when I paid for premium, my account didn't get upgraded and I couldn't get support on it (because you need a premium account to get support). 😢

Er gaat van alles mis bij teams Dierenwelzijn van de Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (NVWA): er is geen capaciteit voor controles, inspecteurs zijn niet streng genoeg, er is een slechte bestuurscultuur en er zijn bedreigingen vanuit de industrie. Dit MOET aangepakt worden!
