40-something professional computer geek from 🇫🇮. Father of two (humans, although there's a cat). Politically left-leaning. As far as pronouns go, I know who I am; He/him, but won't be offended by any other.
Would fail the Turing Test.
Generally uninteresting lurker interested about politics, programming, electronics, all things computer, cats, Star Wars, languages (human, machine), history... list goes on.
Wait... scratch that. I'm here for cat pics.
Because cats rule.
Also, a metalhead. 🤘
Illuminated.
It's all fun and games until Sauron loses an eye.
(Yeah, they've been re-running the LotR trilogy on the TV around here over the weekend...)

I just saw a job advert by a local software company in which they were looking to hire an "AI Adoption Engineer".
The job description was a bit lengthy, but the main point, apparently, was that the recruitee would be tasked with "driving" (read: selling) AI adoption within the organisation.
So it seems AI is, contrary to all fears, _creating_ new jobs in IT 😄
