@mcc@mastodon.social this is a funny way of hearing about #ChiPass... I like the mission but I don't know about the name, its too easy to pronounce as Cheap-ass...

@by_caballero@mastodon.social maybe @f@todon.nl and @pukkamustard@chaos.social whomst talked last night would be interested. And @lavaeolus@fedihum.org, @julian@fietkau.social and @jonny@neuromatch.social might have a specific interest in this getting done for #sciop
sorta amazing how almost all of these apps are abandoned already

Goodmorning fedi, I just woke up in a windy tent in the middle of a field and sleepily scrolled thru all the opening talks at #DwebCamp to figure out what my first stop needs to be: def have to catch @cwebber@social.coop, @dholms.at and @boris@cosocial.ca discuss the trade offs, design decisions and points of convergence between #ActivityPub and #ATProto

857 votes and it results in a 50/50 split is pretty amazing

root systems are often stronger and deeper then any of the visable foliage, a good metaphor we can take into our digital equivalences

@dansup@mastodon.social Dan these icons are slop, please at least use an existing iconset
Someone just posted this and I was gonna boost it but my timeline refreshed and I lost the post:
Newly discovered archive of half a million of the lost myspace mp3s now playable here http://lostmyspace.com
Just watched the intro video of the fully redesigned Audacity, and haven't played with it yet, but it does look pretty nice on the surface. Anyone have a link to a current write up about why this new update is actually super bad?

I was scrolling @pixelix and discovered @ghostbyte@mastodon.social is getting the instance statistic data from new fediverse tracker they built called https://fedisea.surf
Also open source with their own crawler https://github.com/ghostbyte-dev/fedisea-web #fedidev #fediverse #ActivityPub
RE: https://mastodon.online/@mullvadnet/116822244689326681
here is Mullvad confiming that one of their co-CEOs is funding the Swedish fascist Örebro party
Quoting
@lostgen@det.social
Mullvad is a political company fighting for free speech, free information and privacy, with two equal co-founders, co-owners and co-CEOs who fundamentally disagree on many issues. Daniel's donation to a political party is private and not part of Mullvad's mission. We protect the right to express and access views we disagree with. We welcome anyone sharing these core values, whatever their other opinions. We are happy to refund others who don't, where we can.

@maddyunderstars@aus.social your welcome! my goal here was just to promote more awareness of fediverse projects and also make it easier for people to get the icons for making various other graphics like making comparison lists and info graphics etc

I hope this sets off a whole wave of people realizing Apple is fascist...
Replying to
@spla@mastodont.cat I redrew it fresh cause the lines were strangely very uneaven on the version you have, your welcome to reuse it if you want
What are some underground radio stations I should listen to? Looking for stuff off the beaten path, I have been around the block a few times.

I guess I could just do it on the web using CSS selectors but would be nice to have a slick interface to do it with

cc @silverpill@mitra.social have you seen this?
(yes the whole thing seems vibe coded so 🤷🏽♀️)
Replying to
@apps@toot.fedilab.app that sounds amazing, can other apps hook into it like that too? I didn't know Android apps could even tie into eachother like that

@silverpill@mitra.social thanks for the synopsis, I hadn't verified that assumption yet but glad it gets your stamp of disapproval
Replying to
@fedicat@pc.cafe you might try some different colors or fonts with it, now you look a bit like the same account as @FediverseSymbol@typo.social
Replying to
@gaditb@icosahedron.website wordpress has been on the cutting edge of implementing it lately, they have preliminary support for it now
Replying to
@subMedia@kolektiva.social @sgc @CrimethInc@todon.eu would you want to screen this in Berlin as well? there are plenty of spaces here we could do it in

@heluecht @silverpill@mitra.social @technical-discussion @julian it makes no sense to me to turn emoji reactions into likes. They are inherently different things. If one wants to support emoji reactions in their software, go look at how people are actually using them in everyday life. There are a totally different form of communication then a like. You can look at a popular user on Misskey to see how they are being used in reality
Just leaned that @Onmyom@mstdn.social passed away last week

@randompenguin @tealk this is quite a bit nicer looking then all the other themes I have seen I would say release it and try to get it into peoples hands to get some direct feedback from use!

I can finally confirm I am headed to #DwebCamp tomorrow. Too many internet friends from far away converging in one place, my fomo got the better of me.
