Announcing it here publicly for the first time!
I've been building a general purpose activitypub pwa.

The WordPress ActivityPub plugin quietly released an amazing feature in version 8.1.0 back in April.
After a fair bit of testing, with various developers, including yours truly, Matthias @pfefferle@mastodon.social added support for the #ActivityPub API.

This very post is written using a custom client I’m building 😉

@hongminhee@hollo.social although it’s not an immediate goal, I am planning for @nuages app to be deployable as a white label / themeable front-end for c2s supporting servers

@stefan@stefanbohacek.online @blogdiva@mastodon.social curious what you mean about the remote posting metric.

@KevinCarson1@kolektiva.social I remember reading that too, possibly related to / during Twitter takeover

Does your instance terms of service have any mention of AI?

@rysiek@mstdn.social in a previous employment, a university news site used RSS extensively, we setup the news site with tags for departments, programs, etc and the corresponding sites or microsites consumed the news which kept them looking very fresh!
I agree not enough organizations do this
Seems a bit whitewashed, but Alanis is Abenaki, and her extensive career has centred indigenous rights activism
One of the main strengths of this space, social.coop in particular and the wider Fediverse in general is that it’s about connecting people. Ok, there are some fun bots as well.
But on the whole it seems largely resistant to slop and slopaganda accounts pervasive on other networks.

I end the talk with an invitation for devs and non-developers alike to submit some user-stories about what they would want from a general AP client

Should users have to opt-out with #NoBot #NoIndex #NoAI or can we have nice things?

@andrewe@social.coop having lived through a few disruptions from when we didn’t have control over the registration,
I know it has been a multi-year endeavour, so thank you for this!

^ The important part is at the end, the artist statement!

I also mention a bunch awesome Fediverse projects which have developed their own API, no shade on them, the spec imho is incredibly bare. I quote @Gargron on that one.

This last poll didnt get as many responses as the others, and I suspect it is because the client I was using didn’t include the cute boost+heart emoji, 🥲

@mgeist@mas.to surprisingly no mention of the unfolding voter privacy scandal happening in Alberta

Thanks to everyone responding, boosting, commenting on these polls.
Our instance is trying to understand how AI is being used and affects the fedi.
This requires reviewing our own policies, and making proposals to our members.
And well, so far it has been a bit contentious. Some want to be able to use these tools for themselves, while others aren’t keen on having their own posts feed private models!

Why call it AI induced psychosis when TrepanAI is right there.
Replying to
It might also be explained by the first poll being what people want, vs how their instance is currently positioned (many users might not be informed about such policies)

@arthfach@social.arthfach.com there are already clients indiscriminately slurping public posts!

@tomayac hasn’t WebKit and the WG already stated preference for the declarative install-element?
