The Australian government is asking for public consultation regarding "how AI should be developed, used, and governed in ways that advance our national interest". Anyone can make a submission, including organisations and members of the public. Submissions close on the 9th of October (2 weeksish from this post). NOTE that the privacy policy says they "may use approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools to identify themes, trends and common issues raised in submissions, generate summaries of consultation feedback, and support departmental analysis". It seems all questions are OPTIONAL, including personal information. https://www.pmc.gov.au/domestic-policy/office-ai/ai-infrastructure-consultation #auspol #australia

To put it simply, a board overseeing what's covered by Medicare in Australia is consulting the public on whether gender affirming surgeries should be covered. You can view the application by the Society of Plastic Surgeons here: https://www.msac.gov.au/applications/1754 We have until October to submit our thoughts via this survey: https://ohta-consultations.health.gov.au/ohta/1754-resubmission/ When you have time, please fill out the survey in support of the application, especially if you are trans and have or want any procedures. Thanks! #trans

@liaizon@social.wake.st this is awesome, thanks! I really need to get a better logo though haha

@dansup @supapp I'm also developing an activitypub instant messenger (https://github.com/MaddyUnderStars/shoot/) and would love to see Sup's source code or some beta instance so I can better support it. Is there any plans to open source Sup? If I remember correctly, you're waiting for it to mature before releasing it? Really looking forward to seeing it!
