@cheeaun@mastodon.social it's intended to copy from a different account, but works for both

mastodon 4.7.3The official account for the Fedicat fediverse iOS client available on TestFlight. I try to include other fediverse stuff to keep it interesting.

it’s #FedicatFunFeatureFriday, when viewing a #bookwyrm update on #neodb, a button to search for that book in the neodb catalog, I use this to keep my neodb shelves in sync with my bookwyrm

@apps@toot.fedilab.app I think it has potential, especially with events, but regardless, it's nice to see these experimental platforms, it can provide useful ideas that can be incorporated in the mainstream ones.
Latest build resets defaults because I renamed all the AppStorage paths to avoid an issue with dots, in the process also changed the gif autoplay default to false, and Bookmark/Bookmarks/Unbookmark is now Save/Saved/Unsave.
got #fedihood maps working

@apps@toot.fedilab.app I prefer Izzydroid to fdroid, I have an issue with fdroid because they based their client on an aptoide client and I hate aptoide
adding #neodb video search (combining the movie and tv categories)
a bit kludgy but got the #fedihood within radius timelines to show up

@apps@toot.fedilab.app I think you should work in the style that best suits you, there are a lot of advice givers, not as many creators and contributors. I've created a lot of quick apps just because I felt like it, and I've found as long as there was a particular reason or vision for that app, someone else would like it (even if a lot of people didn't, but that's life on the app stores). There are only a few that I kept dabbling for the long term, up to ten years, that seems to be my limit, fedicat is in year 3

@cheeaun@mastodon.social I still need to add collection editing, if you copy from the same account you get two identically named collections
bloost is back, starting next build you can double tap on the boost button to boost and like, don't know why I didn't think of that earlier
adding a #pawfed post composer template for my next cat cafe visit
adding #neodb star ratings
tapping on #fedihood maps displays either the city account listing if it’s the account map or post feed if it’s the post map
added snowdrop, phandroid moved

@Edent@mastodon.social I think the naming is confusing, if I understand correctly it mutes notifications of replies to you in that conversation.

@cheeaun@mastodon.social it's what I have localized, I guess it should be Save Position or something like that
adding a combined (all categories) my media #neodb view
I think this is working, in the app custom settings you can set the home feed to save its position instead of getting the latest when the session is relaunched, uses the mastodon timeline marker api

@apps@toot.fedilab.app they’re screwy that way, I think I couldn’t remove apps without updating them first which is just stupid. I ended up deleting my main google account to get rid of everything and they gave me one of those “sorry you feel that way” responses
added rocinante (bookwyrm client)

@apps@toot.fedilab.app All an app store has to do is be less obnoxious to developers than apple and yet they all fail
expedition has a like+boost button
seeing all these indie small fediverse projects reminds me of the feeling I had when I first got into programming with the early PCs

@apps@toot.fedilab.app I'm the same way, for a long time I felt I should do all the outgoing, networking stuff you're supposed to do, but now I've reached the comfort zone where I don't feel obligated to go outside my comfort zone.

@luckkerr@mastodon.world good idea, I think that's what the original requester suggested too (and limited to something like five, right now I'll list every language ever selected). I just looked at pipilo, looks like it starts off with the set of currently installed system languages?
replaced manually saved hashtags with a Recent list updated with tags you view (feed) or follow or publish in a post

@apps@toot.fedilab.app After ten years on google play I don't even like boosting anything with google links, so I'm happy to see anyone make the break!
making menus big again, I was nesting submenus because recent ios versions were shrinking the max menu size but now it seems I have more room again in the timeline and context menus.
I reorged the timeline menu so that collections/lists/groups/following are grouped together in an accounts menu and hashtags has followed and recent

@cheeaun@mastodon.social the apple localization glossary conveniently has Unsave, but most of the translations are essentially Remove from Saved
thinking that Reply All to a quote post should include the author of the quoted post (right now I just include all the mentions)
there’s a bookiverse inside the fediverse
even for platforms that #fedicat doesn’t support you can view the instance info as long as it has a nodeinfo
I think ios27 messed up my filter button/menu
I hope mastodon doesn't turn into mozilla
this was requested quite a while ago, listing recently used post languages in the post composer language menu

@apps@toot.fedilab.app Have you applied for any of that nlnet funding? Seems to me you would be a good candidate.
it's hard to keep up with all these compulsive fediverse platform coders
adding a copy #mastodon collection feature

@apps@toot.fedilab.app @pixelfed@mastodon.social I found the easiest way to find what endpoints to use is browsing the pixelfed react native app source. I have the ones I'm using defined here, with little explanation.
