@mttaggart@infosec.exchange This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately. I'm comfortable with the technical aspects of hosting limited services for a local community, but the legal and governance concerns have kept me from moving forward.
There's a big leap in responsibility from hosting for my trusted friends/family to hosting for local strangers.

@brie@social.lol I really enjoyed this bit of reflection on those values. It's neat to hear examples of how to put them into practice in any environment. Thank you for sharing!

@accudio Just wanted to say thanks for this post!
I've been wearing Earasers for concerts the last ten years or so, but had been thinking about trying something different. I saw your post and figured I'd give the Switch 2 a try. They showed up yesterday and I'm impressed so far, though I won't really be able to test them out until a metal show tomorrow night. I like being able to adjust the attenuation strength depending on circumstances, that seems very handy.

@cheeaun I'm closest to option 2, I guess.
I have a fork with my config and CI stuff in Forgejo. Locally I track that and your upstream. When there's a new tagged release I check it out locally and merge it in to my fork, at which point CI builds and redeploys to Bunny storage where its served through their CDN.

@cheeaun though I guess now that I look at it "my config" is really just setting the envvars.
Repo is here in case you'd like you see the Forgejo CI setup.

@cat@social.lol because why would you use a web standard when you could just sync everything to/through your Google account? /s
DAVx⁵ comes in clutch for being able to sync stuff without relying on Google services.

The Web was a place I chose to go, and it didn't follow me around once I left.
