@nemo@mas.to I dont know how it is the best solution to have funding work in such a manner, i can think of some better organisational models. If they put all this work into the public sphere then sure, but eu nationalists already heavily opress people in the regions they claim with digital means such as biometric id lockdown. Why would anyone ever trust these organisations?

@izder456 definitely feel like not trying to wow people is a big factor, but i also understand why some oss projects are trying to cater to people with maybe unreasonable expectations about wow factor. Wow factor is kind of how propriatary projects have stayed alive, by always overpromising to people who dont know better. And then post haste it justifies it as design practice Tricky one, ideally people would just know better and software can focus on function.

@hejli thats the developers choice, thats what it was always about, empowering developers, i wouldnt have made the choice, but also... maybe just stick with the default theme for the bar?, doesnt it even follow the system highlight and probably stop watching lunduke if you do

@nemo@mas.to this digital sovereignty rhetoric is harmful. It is sovereignty under nationalist conception. The only liberatory version of sovereignty is under the individualist conception ( not inequal individualism, it can be caring) What do I benefit from being a slave to an organisation that is free from another organisisation, id rather be free myself.

It's a serious concern, i understand theres alot of hurt going around, and that this cant be stopped within the bounds of linux when the state employs violence, but individuals are just that, not linux bound, and can pass into political life.. And ig people probably do think that centralised structures like systemd would have the most sway. And are probably hoping for a plan from such a centraliser.
