Profile photo description: a slightly over-saturated close-up of a man of mixed Asian-European ethnicity with slightly graying black hair, beard and moustache, resting his head on that of his (censored) child. It's me and my daughter in the park in spring 2026.
Things that I'm surprised to have to "craft" myself: googly eyes fridge magnets. Never seen those in any stores. I think they'd be quite popular.
(aside: I really despise how this "Heads, Bodies, Legs" magnet game is *incredibly* gendered for its professions. What's even more disturbing is that despite taking away the solution cards, my daughter already has internalized the gender roles. I constantly have to argue that men can look after babies and women can be astronauts)
My three year old this morning, in the middle of singing an improvised song about a little monster that was sick but got better:
"Papa, can you sing along?"
"Well, ok, but how does the song go?"
She looks at me slightly puzzled, as if I asked something so obvious that she struggles with my stupidity.
"It goes on."
