I am beyond of mentally exhausted. I have never been in such a bad mental shape in my whole life.
I know the triggers, I know the spiral, I know how to stop it, and I am learning how to cope. But dear lord! It is taxing!
The good news is that one of my coping mechanisms is code things that I enjoy, like for example for the #fediverse. So there is that. See you in the other side!
This morning I got the news that an old friend lost his battle with cancer.
Since moving to the U.S., I've lost touch with most of non-close friends. Nevertheless, still stings.|
He was HUGE, while I was one of the shortest kids in high school. Somehow we became friends. He stood up for me more than once, we used to sneak out for cigarettes together, and he was also the first close friend I had who ended up in jail over fistfights.
Good memories.
RIP.
