We have been running it as public beta testing for over a year already.
We have been able to resolve issues we noticed during this and we are now confident to provide a reliable service for everyone.
Though we still have many more improvements in mind.

We prepared this at today's mini meeting.
We met at Athul's home and worked on some tasks like designing backdrop, deciding how many people we need to order food, fill in many talk proposals etc
Ordering food is a challenge because many time only a small number of people who registered actually turn up at the event.
Our registrations crossed 91, but we will see how many of them turn up #prav #xmpp

We had reached required 50 numbers once, but some people dropped out later.
So we only have 46 members now and need 50 to register as multi state cooperative.
Other states are welcome too, but you will have to wait longer till your state reaches 50.
#Kerala has the required minimum of 50 already, but more members makes us stronger.

#diaspora service at poddery.com will be shut down after we ran it for 12 years. Joe Bivins ran it before we took over maintenance in 2013. It was one of the earliest diaspora pods.

Both #xmpp and #matrix services, which shared the diaspora accounts will continue operating for now.
Thanks to everyone who helped maintain it till now. Even though diaspora failed to get the adoption we hoped for, #mastodon is continuing the fight for #federated social media.
I can use #UPI again after a month of breakage. Switching linked bank account to ICICI helped, though Federal bank also started working when I switched back to it again from ICICI later.
So not sure what broke in between. I had to add a non mobile number upi id after switching banks each time.
This is the 100% #FreeSoftware way of using #UPI. No need to install any apps and works on everyphone if you have #Airtel sim.

@mandarvaze@indieweb.social if you just want to use the app (like drinking #Amul milk), you don't need to be a member.
But if you become a member, you share the ownership of the app and can vote to elect people who will govern the app - like deciding its #privacyPolicy or hiring developers to build features in the app.
You can also get elected to the leadership. The app will be run #democratically by its members.
This may look strange to you, but made possible by #FreeSoftware.

Currently we have 500+ downloads and 4. 2* average score. Last time we checked, we had 842 users. Your support and participation is crucial as we don't have huge marketing budget like #Meta.

What worked at the end was,
- Build each locally with .deb files from sid
- Replace the sid .deb files one by one from the newly built debs.
- Repeat this process until you can fully build everything with your local debs.
I hope to provide caddy security fixes via trixie-backports this way as the traditional approach to backporting patches is not working for golang packages.

Our community identified iOS app as a priority through a poll and we raised 600 USD for this project.
This is first significant result of our experiment to put users in charge of setting direction to #FreeSoftware. Even non non developers can actually modify Prav this way!

We can't do it with just volunteers.
We run services as volunteers for 10+ years already.

Sometimes things remain broken for days, weeks or even months, even if the fix is as simple as updating tls certificate.
Sometimes the software never gets updated or updating is really hard.
In #Prav, we want to hire system admins to ensure timely fixes.

In your case, may be they disabled collect to comply and may be add it back if they can comply with the requirements later? You can try contacting them and give feedback, especially since it is still working on RazorPay. May be each RazorPay customer need to choose the supported payment options?

@prav So even if we develop the software that has all the features, we still need someone to maintain the service continuously
- new versions come, security updates come, disk may be full, letsencrypt may change its cettificate type
- many things need adapting to.
Also we need to pay the bills every month for hosting and SMS.
Additionally we need to bring users as well. Unlike GNU/Linux or Libre Office, you cannot decide to use Prav from today if no one else is on it. #prav #xmpp

*99# stopped working for me with my Federal Bank + Airtel combo. ICICI + Vi is still working though with limited features (send to phone numbers and accept payment requests) . I have filed an issue with Federal Bank, if they cannot fix it, I will have to change my phone number linked to ICICI account or open another bank account with my Airtel number.
