mastodon 4.7.3I am a privacy advocate and am a believer in FOSS. I will post about these things as well as link to my pixelfed account when I upload new pictures.
My other interests are science, technology, gaming, and other nerdy stuff. I especially love Star Trek
I am an American who lives in the Philippines.
With the price of technology these days and the low quality of most new games, I give up. I’m done with modern gaming for the time being.
I’ll play my old systems and emulate. There are enough quality games out there and rom hacks add to this.
Maybe I’ll pickup a ps3 while I’m at it. I never had one and I’d like to try out a few games on that system.
Playing games on any retro console is so much better than modern gaming. You just turn it on and play. It’s that simple.
I was trying to play terraria on Steam last week, but my Internet was down so I couldn’t connect to steam and launch the game. How annoying!
I’m so annoyed with how complex US taxes are. It turns out that I may have been overpaying my taxes by thousands of dollars for the past 5ish years because my previous accountant did not know what he was talking about.
I double checked what the new accountant (CPA) was telling me and they seem to be correct. I am so annoyed.
My wife’s work doesn’t have off today so I drove her to work normally. The total round trip was about 30- 40 mins instead of the usual 60+ mins.
I wonder if the joycons breaking so easily and being expensive to replace was the reason anyone decided to stop paying for games and mod their switch?
I don’t use mine a lot but I’ve had the “R” button go out 2 or 3 times and stick drift.
Anytime we go to a website to see what is there, we call it web surfing. Shouldn’t we call it site seeing?
They are remaking “the mummy”… again. Why can’t they just leave the classics alone?
@deshipu@fosstodon.org I need to use that for final fantasy 8, the random encounter battles are so long.
Why are all thunderbolt docks so expensive compared to usb-c hubs? The price is like 3x more.
I do notice that my hub can’t always handle everything plugged into it. I’m guessing that is what the price difference is about?
The main thing I’d like is to be able to have replaceable cables from the hub to the computer, so I can run a longer cable and hide the hub behind the desk.
I want to replace Logitech options+ on my mac. The main problem is that it can only work on one logged in user at a time and I switch between my business and personal accounts a lot, so loosing the scrolling and side buttons each time is annoying.
What software do people recommend for this? I have a basic mouse and a keyboard both connected through a single usb receiver.
RE: @TheManilaTimes@mastodon.social
Has anyone taken this yet? How does it compare to using slex if I’m coming from makati?
I'm at that weird stage in life where I have started getting my first gray hairs.
I don't mind going gray, but it is just a strand or two. I need them to pump up their numbers so it starts to look a bit better.
