We all die. Please, whatever you do, don't take a single day for granted. I turned 70 a few months ago, and there are far fewer days in front of me than there are behind me.
It is truly difficult to fathom having lived nearly 26,000 days that there's a limit. One day, the day will come and I will no longer be.
Live my friends, live as if this is it, because we never know when we'll look back and think, if only...

We lost a huge number of left votes in 2024 due to apathy and belief in the both sides are the same argument. We must GOTV and win big in 2026.
So the US has theoretically added 175K jobs in May. Who joins me in doubting the veracity of that report?

@RickiTarr I have found stretching for my cronic back pain. I injured it at 13, so it's been 57 years, ugh. I also have severe arthritis in my right thumb. I get an injection into the joint every 3-6 months. I use CBD oil and MAXX pain relief roll on.

@susankayequinn We were just talking about this at lunch, my wife and I. Things broke mostly when people didn't care about stuff. Corporations worked decades ago because people cared. Then came the making money phase of corporations. Sure they always did make money, but now it's just about how do we make more money. Ship the jobs to China, make the plastic part instead of brass, and 16-gauge steel instead of 14. Slowly turned everything into crap. And all the money goes up to the C-suite jobs.

@susankayequinn Thanks for this. These have popped up on the radar as done deals. They are being put into low population areas. I'm currently fighting Duke's desire to merge their two entities, one that has 6 of the 8 approved mega data centers proposed. If they don't merge, that area will get hit with major costs for upgrading the grid and my area will not. They voted for those people who approved the data centers, so tough, live with it. Don't dump it on me. But now I'll fight the dc's too.

@Lydie Check out ground.news, an interesting approach they show results based on reporting bias. So you can see what is being reported, by whom it is being reported, and the slant in each of those reports. The Guardian does a good job too.

@benroyce @cascheranno I first voted in 1976 when I was 20, I couldn't vote when I turned 18 because I moved and was in a different county and not long enough to establish residency. Anyway, I have voted in every single election since that day in November. The FIRST thing I did when I moved was to send in my documents to register to vote. The 2024 election was far too important.
That was the election, all the Gaza-Bros stayed home and elected Trump.

I have lived through enough of these movements and seen the GOP win against our ideas because they aren't workable, or they can use scare tactics against us. We need to build a more equitable union, but not completely destroy what exists. The current administration is outright destroying what exists.
Eliminating Citizens United is number one in beginning any rectification of our political environment.

I understand the reason for trying to determine pain level, but it's, as Sheldon said at his driving test "A car length is not a standard measure of distance."
