Fellas, a realistic cis-male self-image likely includes having "done wrong". Heck, I was brought up in the 1980s in rural Germany. "Of course" I believed shit (and did) that was, by my own standards of today, sexist as fuck. How would 10 year old me have known any better? Denial is not a strategy towards progress. Deal with it. And do better now. Don't, for fuck's sake, defensively double down. I'm so tired. (Not as tired as women*.)

Faszinierend bleibt auch, dass diese Horrorclownshow und ihre braunblaue Ergänzung mit ständigen Skandale und Demonstration absurder Inkompetenz in Umfragen gleichzeitig

für die konkrete Arbeit und Beliebtheit komplett durchfällt
weiterhin die größte Kompetenz in fast allen Feldern zugesprochen bekommt.

Ich möchte ja nicht sagen, dass die Wählerschaft ursächlich an diesem Problem beteiligt ist, aber vielleicht möchte ich doch genau das sagen.

I think I've finally been able to condense what irks me about the @conservancy@social.sfconservancy.org guidelines on #GenAI use for #FLOSS. Out of 14, only the first 2 relate positively towards not using these systems. The others are accommodations and even encouragement. That's ... remarkably biased and doesn't adequately reflect or even acknowledge the potential and real harms associated with them. The SFC used to be fairly principled. I live a fairly lavish lifestyle and I'd not have to work a single day for the rest of my life with less than that lower bound, without compromising. 8 digits ought to be enough for everybody. And so they create *more* load in a situation when I'm likely already slightly stressed. If you thank them, others might think your issue is answered. If you say it doesn't work, they start arguing. If you don't reply, it's rude. And it takes up space, with fewer people replying. I now only ask if it's really really unavoidable.

This is a reminder that vaccination guidelines aren't about providing you with the best medical advice, but - like any other service offered - the absolute minimum the state couldn't manage to avoid paying for. You. Want. All. The. Vaccinations. Skeptics about vaccination programs are right to not trust the state, but somehow arrived at the totally bizarre conclusion that the state would ever pay more than the barest minimum‽

(Schon jetzt sind die Auswirkungen der Versäumnisse vor 20-30 Jahren sehr spürbar.) Schon purer Egoismus würde reichen, handeln zu müssen.

@severin@hci.social The problem is two-fold: using GenAI does not eliminate the need for a maintainable code base or code-review (you could have continued to refine and deduplicate the algorithm), and it still requires being able to assert copyright (which LLM output famously doesn't have). I've made a few drive-by contributions to FLOSS to address nits without joining their community. That's not the point.

Dafür wurde ja auch die PV Revolution in D hart ruiniert, siehe auch "Wärmepumpen". Industrie-Lobby, aber auch die Bevölkerung selbst, kleben halt am Status quo und wollen keinesfalls irgendwas ändern. (Also, bis auf den Rechtsruck. Die Veränderung ist offenbar willkommen.)
