Almost 50 mm of rain so far in #Ottawa today. IIRC, we were only expecting a couple mm. Maybe this is the next 100 year storm. #onstorm

Driving annoyances 2. #driving You are car 6 waiting at a light controlling a single lane of traffic. We all know that the second car has the responsibility to notify the first car that the light has changed if it seems they did not notice. If they fail, the notifications falls to car 3, and so on. What is more annoying?

@dan613 or looks like we've moved from 23% of exports to not the US to 34%, then we've almost grown that part of the market by 50%. Well done Canada. #CanPoli #CdnPoli

Here's the solar generation data for yesterday. It's not great for several reasons (few panels, cloudy and the battery was already at 87% of capacity when the sun came up). But it's great for all kinds of other reasons. Why they choose a delivery truck for km driven is a mystery. Hmmm. I can't add alt text to the picture, so I'll put it here. A screenshot from the app - a nice curve showing the solar powered i captured the the time of day i captured it. It also tells me that I saved an entire 632g of CO2 emissions, planted 0.02 entire trees or drove 2.64 km. This is 1.58 kWh gets you. It will be sunnier today, but I think the battery will tap out before the sun sets as it is already at 89%. Edit to actually add the picture. No wonder adding alt text was a problem. #solar #ecoflow

@mikepmoffatt I would like to someone to explain a few things.

  1. If we banned AirBnB like services and returned all those homes to the long term housing pool, how does help alleviate the situation?

  2. Why do we think the people that profit from the problem (the developers) want this problem solved - especially when governments look to these same people for the solution? We won't find a solution by asking those racking in the cash now to solve it.

@erin my thinking is that the city does the yard waste and every bit of it they pick up saves on the green bin contract. One would think they had a long route to complete but maybe it's an area and a block of time for some reason. Also finishing early might result in them getting a less desirable bit of work at the end of the day, so they drag things out. I've hired contractors here that suddenly become very meticulous about cleaning up to avoid going back to the shop and getting a crappy job for 30 minutes. #Ottawa

Having to be a certain age to use a certain app or website is stupid.

if the app / website is so awful that kids can't see / use them, then they are almost certainly bad things and the government should work to make those responsible for them responsible for them.

Hold the corporation responsible accountable for what they are doing to us. None of us will mind.
