Sooooo. I was thinking. Is Suno sued because they scraped Spotify (+ others) like crazy?
Or it's like OpenAI attacking HuggingFace, nobody sue others because if they do, they're gonna shot themselves in the foot for their still-not-found business model.
Then, if it's the case. Can we just declare that Anna's Archive was using AI agents to backup Spotify? So it's not suable because AI gives you a totem of immunity for commiting crimes?
And can I declare my actions as resulting from an AI agent advice so I can not be prosecuted? I mean, a friend is asking me these questions.

@danirabbit@mastodon.online I don't remember the grade I had in Linux. But the lesson was so terrible I thought it was the worst attempt of OS possible. It was not entirely the teacher's fault, more of the pedagogic team that totally failed their teachers and students.
Anyway, 1 year later, I got an absolutely passionate teacher in Linux. In 1 week, I was hooked. Since then, I discovered so many wonderful, quirky, useful, funny projects with open source.
People are amazing.

@braid@alpaka.garden I use it as my REST server for a client for a year now, and runs pretty great and allowed me to add automatic OpenAPI generation for the data.

It has an admin panel generated thanks to the default template (which looks like ass, I know, but it seems you're motivated to write your own templates, so… :))
And I will be available for support and help if needed. I'd love it to be really useful to people.

@braid@alpaka.garden Hi, totally shameless plug, but I tried to create something like that for a few years and succeeded to a certain level.
It's https://rip.rest and it's basically a RESTful (not totally there yet, HATEOAS is missing) server.
I tried to make it pluggable, so it doesn't bleed everywhere in your code base.
And your business logic is basically the type you define.
One of the smallest example is this:

And this allow you to have different representation of the resource based on content negociation.
So if you want the JSON, send the "Accept: application/json" header.
If you want HTML, "Accept: text/html" header will do.
My default HTML templates use HTMX, to reduce JS to nothingness, while still making the webpages dynamic.
And if you want to change it to create whatever HTML representation of your resource, just override it: https://github.com/dolanor/rip/blob/main/examples/html-template/main.go

@grono@mastodon.com.pl in the past, I tried to modify gocraft ( https://github.com/icexin/gocraft ) to add some new game logic, but apart from some simple tweaks/hacks (double jump, teleportation) , really changing the behaviour was way harder for me to grasp.
Anyway, I wanted to play with g3n for so long that this tutorial was the right opportunity.

I'm not a big gamedev as I don't have much free time, but my current gamedev project is porting this tutorial ( https://web.archive.org/web/20241006194615/https://www.fatoldyeti.com/tags/roguelike/ ) which is a roguelike in Go with ebiten (2D game engine) into the g3n 3D game engine.
There are some discrepancy in the game loop engine. Ebiten has Update loop (game logic) and Render loop (rendering loop).
g3n has a scenegraph, use events for keyboard press and only 1 loop.
But 1 extra goroutine and I kind of synchronize the behaviour, which allow to make me the tutorial more closely. Gotta love Go for that.

Qwen doesn't know about Tibet, Tiananmen. It's free to use, but it has very specific bias. And all of those models have their own bias and preferences. You're not free, you're just talking to a very biased person that tells you what their master trained them on.
You want to create small web with AI? Maybe it will suggest you React, and AWS to host it. And people without knowledge will must take it at face value.

We trusted them in creating good technical solutions, because they're big, right?
But they just bloated the whole ecosystem with over engineered crap. Half for whatever technical reasons, half for obfuscating so nobody steal their amazing (joke) UI.
The real progressive move is to make everything simple again. Like what people are trying to do with small web, and other.
And connect things together like what activitypub is doing (I'm not considering atproto because this shit is gonna become enshittified, I promise you).
So people discovering the web now can copy and paste from source because it's not minified/crapified and be able to control it from A to Z.

Another big influence I had was https://goa.design , but their website doesn't represent the doc I used to read about it.
I loved the way it was talking about entity/resource representation that could vary from each client with content negociation. That was a 🤯 moment.
