I've had it enough for today so I'm going to prep a cheesecake for my wife. I suspect she's having a rough day at work too
(and possibly go for a powernap after the cheesecake is ready too 👀 )
"I love this and I'm currently enjoying it!"
"No this is wrong, here are 10 reasons why you shouldn't love that!"
sigh
Sometime cooling your jets could do a lot for others, and not just for you.
This week I wanna go for a different Gaming Follow Friday.
If you're interested in videogames and great people, I can't suggest enough following the members of The Gamers' Tavern!
A few names, not a complete list:

I started watching Murderbot, the TV adaptation of Martha Wells' "The murderbot diaries". Well, the first season is all focused on the first novel, "All systems red" and I was extra skeptical, especially since the huge disappointment in the Silo TV show, but I must say that this show clicks all the right buttons
I've already seen the main actor in another role that I quite enjoyed but for the life of me I can't remember where and when.
Anyhoo, if you liked the books or if you're looking for a mid-light hearted show, this one is highly suggested
I think it's time for me to try having a blog once again (it's only the uh... 8857376th try...) 🤔
But something something different, Writefreely doesn't work for me, although I appreciate the effort.

From a conversation that happened earlier in our Discourse chat (yes, Discourse has a chat too)
Today is my weekly on-site day.
I'll see you on the other side fedinauts 🫡
House-related chores for the day are done, now I can start work for the day.
Lately I had to trade my pre-work gaming routine to help my wife, which went through a little surgery, and while the absence of the routine throw me a bit off balance, I'm glad she's recovering well :)
I'm also looking at a 5-days long weekend <3 I'll get plenty of gaming in the next few days.
What a day. I'm feeling shattered. I'm going to grab my eBook reader and go diving into the sofa.
Later, Fedi
sips coffee
Lately I feel that, aside the personal issues, with all the "AI slop" here and "AI slop" there, my time on Mastodon has been drastically reduced, because I don't enjoy it no more.
It is high noon time for a new filter.
While I generally don't support AI, aside from some QoL stuff (especially towards people with sight or hearing issues), it feels to me that the specific term has become overused in a derogatory way, like "AI mentioned? AI slop!!!" or "They used AI years ago for a few minutes, they're AI sloppers and always will be"
Two days in and still no sign of a "well we dun goofed" mail from Steam. Seems like the Steam Controller 2 will (eventually) arrive for real
Edit: not bragging, it's just general anxiety with all the ruckus that happened Monday when it got listed in the store
I see a game with cats, I buy, I'm a simple mind.
In this case it's about Little strays 2 (and by the looks of it I guess I'll be effin crying a lot 😅 )
Anyone played this game for a first-hand review?

A few starred apps on the smarphone and the tablet and if I need everything else looking at the complete list (or curated list) of apps is just a gesture away.
It also works extremely well with notifications and contextual menus :)

I hope there will be a blog post about this, I'm very interested!
No one should be left alone with their own mind
Techbros: "AI will change our entire life"
Me: "Hey AI, how do I wax my legs?"
(TBH I use Kagi Assistant because it's a great tool and not techbro at all)
It's the 5th of May and I can honestly say that I lost hope to see JUDAS out someday.
Sigh.
This toot made me seriously consider when and what happened in the previous months.
I used to be a Senior IT Architect and now apparently I'm a Senior Data Engineer.
WTF HAPPENED!?!?! Is this an alternate reality!?
I foresee a powernap (I mean, the databricks compute cluster is being turned on and the test pipeline is queued)...
Welcome to the Tavern @neonconch@gamerstavern.online! The first round is on the house, cheers! 🍻

@jamie@gamerstavern.online I think I'm going to do the same, because I go wander in the home page from time to time after watching a video I searched for (mostly, gaming videos) and the suggestion algorithm is now completely effed up, plus it's getting weirder by the day...

@uzakl@masto.ai @gaming@fedigroups.social damn, I completely forgot about CAIRN! I was looking forward this game when it was first announced and then I got sidetracked (sidevideogametracked? 🤔 )
I need to see if there are some discounts going on in the PS store or other PC stores, thanks!

Thanks mate, already have those in my finished list 😄 and they're great games indeed!
Replying to
@Doubleaa@gamepad.club @gaming@fedigroups.social it's the other way around for me, but I understand your point of view mate.
I get easily stressed just playing the same games over and over, but to be honest, I can't do with repetitivity in my life, even outside videogames 😅
I think I went back to my old habit of having too many games up and running with no definite end (Warframe, Satisfactory, Windrose, Project Zomboid, etc.) and I'm quite missing the dopamine hit from completing a game and moving to another one.
I need to install something on my Deck I can easily play between meetings and during low activities days at work, possibly not too long (20+ hours is a no-go, generally)
Any suggestions gamers? You can easily see which games I dig checking out my @ivozzo@questlog.app profle

It's not about the sections showing but more about the contents. Seems like it's pushing for stuff that I don't really care about but are just trending. Bah
I took today off to bring my wife to a visit but it's pouring down and I have a 4 hour drive in front of me.
(Don't) AMA, GC instead (Gib coffee)
