My company wants us to use AI to make us more efficient, so I used it to answer the quizzes at the end of mandatory training courses.

Is there anyone on the Fediverse that would know how to revitalise a Ficus Bonsai tree?
I’ve had mine for about 10 years and being honest, it hasn’t had much care over that period. I think it needs pruning, but I’m not sure what to do without killing it. Probably needs repotting as well.
2016 and 2026 photos below. 😬
Boosts welcomed! ❤️
I decided I had to add a Screen Time limit (of 0 minutes) for YouTube being accessed on my iPhone/iPad.
I got into the habit of consistently watching Shorts over the last week or so, and I was wasting considerable amount of time on it without really noticing. It was the main reason I got rid of my TikTok account about a year ago so it felt like some kind of addiction relapse. So easy to fall into that rabbit hole so had to cut that shit off.
RE: @jamie@gamerstavern.online
Bad moods, brought to you by Microsoft.
Dead Pony is basically all I'm listening to music-wise at the moment. Seeing them in a little under two weeks and really looking forward to it!
This song called RAINBOWS is a particular favourite at the moment, and it has some positive messaging that I think people here will appreciate. 😊
Microsoft make it so damn hard to allow my son and me to play Minecraft together.
Cannot for the life of me work out how to get his account to be allowed to play multiplayer. I don’t even want to go online. Just a local server. 😡
Edit: I sorted it eventually. It was a mixture of Microsoft Family and Xbox Privacy settings. 🙃
I’m tired. 🙃
A big welcome to #TheGamersTavern to my close friend @HeyItsShaney@gamerstavern.online!
I’m looking for YouTube channel recommendations which have informational Minecraft videos. Not the hyperactive brain-rot shite with annoying voices, but creators that will actually teach the mechanics of the game and interesting builds.
My 6 year old son is very into Minecraft (Bedrock on Xbox) at the moment, but my knowledge of the game is minimal and it’ll be great to sit down with him and watch some interesting videos that we could try to replicate.
Added bonus if it includes trains, railway and level crossings. 😄👍
If anyone knows of any, please send them my way. Thanks!

I’ll leave now
Thank you to everyone that uses appropriate hashtags for posting political stuff (and any other subject to be fair). Because of you, I know exactly what to add to my Politics filter here on Mastodon!
For those that don’t, please do. 👍
I guess this in itself is a political post, so I’ll tag it as such. 😅
I still can’t get on board with Sprints in #F1. Just feels artificial and I’m just not interested in it at all, especially with how the cars are this season.
RE: @jamie@gamerstavern.online
Day 15 (for me) and I'm still not over it. 😅
I don’t even have to be watching Bluey to get emotional about it, especially if I hear the song from the Camping episode. 🥹
My kid could be watching it and I’ll hear it in the background whilst I’m doing chores or something. It just hits different to any other kids TV show.

@mike@flipboard.social I might be wrong but it looks like they’re posting on their site and then it also sends a post on Threads and BlueSky, rather than be a single post that federates?
Shame they picked Threads for the Fediverse portion considering a large amount of instances block that instance.
Still, it’s an interesting concept and great to see large publications putting in the effort into something like that.

@alex@gamerstavern.online Just don’t go into the Shorts section. It’s weirder there! 🤪
Joking aside, the restriction has helped me stop the habit of blindly watching Shorts. I may still go on YouTube, but more purposefully to watch a video on subscribed channel and afterwards it gets automatically restricted again.
I wish it was last weekend so tomorrow would be a bank (public) holiday. Weekends are too short.
Sorry, not related to the post’s subject, but I saw the website preview image below and immediately thought of the game Limbo. 😅

@operationpuppet@gamerstavern.online Yeah exactly. This is why I’ve put a blocker in the way to make me think twice before going ahead. I’d have to use a passcode and select an amount of time to access YouTube if I wanted to use it, and I think that will be enough for me to stop doing it on impulse and only use it for something specific as and when.

@blotosmetek@circumstances.run “I” scored 100%. 😅
This was the required pass mark as well.
Welcome to TGT, @oatmealraisin@gamerstavern.online! Cheers! 🍻

@mczachurski We’re basically living through the next Industrial Revolution. I imagine we’re going through similar thoughts and pressures as people did when the steam engine was discovered, or electricity.

@charlottellt As if reading doesn’t count as learning?
Sounds like the teachers need to schedule things a little better. 🤦♂️

@unsafelyhotboots Yeah someone else said something similar. Thanks will definitely do that.

@MCDuncanLab I’m not sure tbh. I’d have to look it up. I got this plant originally from IKEA. 😅
Time for a distraction.

@Drew@gamerstavern.online @alex@gamerstavern.online I use SmartTube on my TV. That’s where most of my YouTube viewing happens. As for phone/ipad, I just use Vivaldi as it seems to block the ads.

@missiongiraffe@gamerstavern.online Yeah I haven’t missed it at all over the past 5 weeks. 😕

@unsafelyhotboots Oh wow okay. Mine has definitely been neglected then. 😅😬
I’m honestly surprised it’s still going.
Replying to
@unsafelyhotboots Oh I assume they need repotting due to lack of nutrients in the soil etc?

@secretsloth Thank you for your very detailed answer! Lots of things I hadn’t even considered.
