We had another great #ContentWarning run again this morning - once more, made it to the 3rd round before missing our target. (If there hadn't been a major glitch preventing one of us from leaving the diving bell on one dive, we probably would have made it!)

We did add one more learning to the list, though: don't drain your bank account. As you advance in the game, more monsters show up on each dive, and our whole squad got murdered one dive - meaning we lost all of our stuff. If we hadn't spent our money on dumb things, we could have rebought what we lost and been more competitive the next dive.

Life lessons, kids

One thing I love about Selenea is that there is a giant abandoned mining base, where every bit of lore says "if you turn this on, the planet will become an uninhabitable ice cube and we deeply regret that we tried this"

And it has a dormant energy source that can be used to turn it on, but requires a lot of resources

And it just hangs out there the whole game, taunting you with "...but you still wanna try it, right?"

I'm close to the end of another Planet Crafter run (Selenea vs Prime this time) and I love the evolution of the game

It starts out as an open-world survival game, where you're just struggling to hang on

Then it becomes an exploration and building game as you gather resources, build your base, and uncover the surprises around the map

And now I'm about 1-2 hours from the end-game, and have become a farmer and petting zoo manager 😂

The boys and I had our best-to-date run of Content Warning yesterday - made it to the 3rd round before we missed our target.

Keys this time around:
- #GamerKid is preternaturally good at camera man - and I am excellent bait 😂
- Getting the hugger (healing) and defibrillator (resurrection) tools *early* made a huge difference. You really have to put yourself in harm's way to get the good videos.
- Knowing the level layouts helps *a lot* so you can keep yourself from getting boxed in
- Sponsorships can be really nice. We had a burger sponsorship in the second round...saw one monster, waited for the second, then popped the burger out to get the shot - bam, another 200MC in the pocket

After a couple of years, I think we may finally be figuring this out?
