@Katika@chaos.social @bmalsuj@ohai.social It's not actually half an ad torn away to reveal half of another underneath, it's just made to look that way. So in that sense it's fake, but from what I remember these were found on real public transport. They were placed on trains/buses by activists.

There's any number of factors that could make someone the target of a person wishing to do harm to them. Race, gender, nationality, sexuality, political views… those are just the obvious ones. Even things like the sports team you support, or whether or not you're vegan, are controversial to some.
Yeah, I've got things to hide: things that could make me the target of hate crime, and that could be anything and everything.

The US regime is increasingly hostile to trans people, and there have been a significant number of laws passed that target trans people (48 such laws were passed in 2026 so far, with 773 more under consideration, of which 122 are national laws). It's a matter of record that the leadership of the USA is actively targeting and dehumanizing trans people, and these actions are considered human rights violations. I think that you'd agree that victims of human rights violations should be fast-tracked, to allow them to more rapidly escape the country that is oppressing them?

Everyone has an e-Butler, an AI that runs on an implant in your brain and can take care of a wide variety of tasks. It also provides a virtual desktop interface, which is effectively projected into your imagination. People customise their “virtual hand” (effectively the mouse cursor that's used with that interface).
