@soatok@furry.engineer About encouraging people to start their own websites and blogs. I worried about this too. Had to post a bit of a disclaimer about it in some of those articles that unlike social networks everything isn't real-time. Blogs are the slow-moving clouds few pay attention to. Reminding readers that you just got to have personal fortitude levels so hard it klinks when you walk. Also, helps when you're doing it for yourself as mental therapy. The readers are along for the ride.

@dillo added to my ~/dillo/dillorc
http_proxy="http://127.0.0.1:4444/"
no_proxy="localhost 127.0.0.1"
and can access I2P through it now! So thank you!
Looking forward to the CSS improvements. Oh, and transparent backgrounds would be cool too.

Great links for web-rings!
I'll add another: https://furryring.neocities.org/
But also to complete the small web experience:
- 88x31 buttons are wonderful things.
- A blog-roll of sites you respect.
Part of classic web-searching deals with outlets of finding like-minded individuals. Rather than a central point run by people who don't care if you live or die.

Does it mean i'm in the big leagues when i get an offer for PCBWay partnership?
I denied it. As "partnerships" of such a nature are a form of self-doxxing.. and also, If my site even BEGINS to go into the realm of Linus Tech Tips grift. I'm nuking the VPS..

I might have to go through the 'fun' of moving my VPS to a new datacenter. If that's even possible anymore, as AI has driven the concept of web-hosting completely into the dirt. On top of that.. datacenters find it more profitable to give AI even minimal VPS slices for spider control instead of dealing with residents..

Got an Intel A770. My living room geforce 1660 exploded. My 2080 fans are sounding like crap. Time to go, Intel! Don't worry, I'm not doing this blindly! I have an A380 intel in my DJ station, and playing Steam on it surprisingly didn't suck.
Anyhow, Best Buy was hoarding a ton of them. So yeah. not paying 400-500 for a GPU.:D

Didn't even notice bluesky was down.. As for this place.. I dunno.. i'm feeling like it served its purpose which was to get me away from social networks. No one really cared what i said on twitter.. or bluesky.. So... Outside of the hyper-rare dude that IM's me on Signal, Telegram or *lulz* Steam.. yeah.. Just at the state of admitting that it's my fault. checking out.. and enjoying the silence.. Depeche Mode style.

How does one enjoy a community after finding out from its leaders that it's not about the people, but pushing merch? Like you watch them talk about their attendees in raw statistical analysis, the age brackets, where they go to eat, where they spend their money, and how to exploit it all. Sure, you offer your friends a smile as they purchase that shirt or flag, or whatever. Even they know the smile is fake. They don't understand, and you shield it to prevent it from ruining them.

As I've gotten an uptick in eBay sales. I've decided to route packing slips to the Okidata i recently built. I shouldn't be so impressed with it.. But it pushed about 25 pages over the weekend like it was nothing. Might have to get continuous paper if auctions keep going.

Next time im in LA .. I wonder if I could get a tour of the prancing skilitare.. I know it's just a house .. but it's also a little historical.. seeing a side of the fandom that was hard to see in the Midwest .

I'm probably going to go, but also, slightly terrified that there'd be a vendor selling Okidata printers for dirt cheap and I end up with 5 of them!

When I was a kid.. I wanted to make a data center. Someplace for my friends to have websites, or a game, or run things like Mastodon. Not so much of a high-end business sense of running a datacenter, but more of a sandbox environment of fucking around and finding out.
And with the whole concept of ARM processors. It's a concept I was thinking, "Wow... datacenters where I wouldn't even need to take the American tax dodge to get electricity at 0.02 cents per kw/hr."
Then AI showed up. And now, when I tell people I want to run a datacenter, they look at me like I'm Hitler.

Did Nintendo buy Facerig? the expression system of all of the animals feels incredibly flat.. like they just did an 1k rig of their muzzle and was like "nah! we're not doing ANYTHING like what disney has accomplished with zootopia."
The model rigging just feels like we went back in time a little.

@dzamie @soatok@furry.engineer Absolutely. The other neat thing about setting everything up is when people want to see your art gallery. It's a simple address going to you instead of a billion other peeps.
Looking forward to seeing it.

@cloudhop@equestria.social Huh, didn't know about the Bose thing.. Google did do something similar, unlocking all of the Stadia controllers (which, out of all the game controllers in my library, I really like).
I, too, could hit Google with atrocity after atrocity they've done. But companies of that scale are also not monolithic. There is a general team behind a certain product, and it's good to hear that the team decided to open source instead of filling the landfill with their abandoned tech. Gods knows we don't need another Atari situation.

re: NSFW
@spiosra@sylfox.one That statement makes it sound like there's a medical condition that prevents you from having sex.. I hope that isn't the case.
I'm not sure what's worse. Not having something and thus not knowing the feeling.. Or actually getting what you want to find out it was the most underwhelming experience on the planet. But I suppose that is the dangers of trying something new.
