Is it that hard to not enter an intersection when a pedestrian is still in front of you, even if I'll be clear of that lane by the time you get there? It's so unnecessarily aggressive and saves maybe two seconds.
Oddly excited to commute with kid this week. (Art camp is a few blocks from my office.)

@owen@mastodon.transneptune.net I think this fits a lot of my thinking around taking a dependency on another team/system at work; even if their setup doesn't quite fit my use case there's a good chance they've thought through (or been burned by) a bunch of edge cases outside of my domain
Both the 2 and 13 are finally back on overhead wires in Queen Anne! 🚎
Never had much exposure to X-Force or X-Factor beyond some random crossovers. A bit more grim than other Marvel lines?
The opening theme redo was clever. Loved Jubilee's Veruca Salt rollerblade hallway fight sequence, just really fun. Some peak modern animation that feels bright and kinetic like a comic book should! #xmen97

A neat thing at the Apple Store: one of the techs was signing, and there was an interpreter on FaceTime talking to the customer. I've never seen that kind of accommodation for a direct customer service role before.
This has been a test of the Emergency It Happens Alert System.
I'm all for working where you want but you can't have three people with laptops each hogging an entire four top at a small café! At the very least need to tandem seat?
Rotating the phrase Hannah Montana #Linux Remaster around over and over in my mind https://www.tomshardware.com/software/linux/hannah-montana-linux-gets-modern-remaster-after-nearly-two-decades-sweet-niblets-new-v26-is-built-on-debian-with-a-re-skin-of-kde-plasma
I'm sure there are good and fascinating reasons why it has to be this way but the fact that I have to become a "patient" of a clinic in order to get access to child's MyChart at said clinic is silly. The whole point of EHR should be federation centered on the patient but instead each entity has their own EPIC that is set up from scratch each time, and needing all history reentered. (Even scheduling alone, in the same network, is bonkers!)

Turned out to be about 3 hours. Sadly a little scuff damage to the edge of the orange right next to the screen impact point but everything back to normal and they didn't have to wipe it.

A bit dark and gory for me with the Brood and Weapon X more generally. Kinda resolved the adamantium plot too quickly... But I did really like what they did with Morph and their relationship to Logan.
Fun to see villains I remember from the old show like Lady Deathstrike (played by Dropout's own Erika Ishii!) and Omega Red. #xmen97

Good start to the season although I expected more cutting between timelines; probably worked better to focus on the Age of Apocalypse. I don't know any of these supporting characters, but cool to hear Gates McFadden as Mother Askani. I half expected more TNG cast members, Gargoyles style. Jean definitely sounds like femshep 😆
Animation continues to be amazing sendup of the old style. Looks great. #xmen97
Pike would like to remind everyone that the sound of packing tape is unacceptable.
Bit of a setup episode but I like seeing Magneto come around to Xavier's view and try to save Apocalypse from himself. I don't know this high tech past storyline at all. Nice to hear more Trek voice actors though! #xmen97

It's so much nicer going up Queen Anne Counterbalance electrically.
I was partial to Links LS on CD-ROM featuring Arnold Palmer.
@nileane@nileane.fr The Snick challenge is hilarious and evil 😂
Pretty epic show down... felt very anime style. Sad about Magneto, it's been fun having him not just as a villain. Of course no one stays that dead in the comics.
I kinda expected the time travel to be more of the season but seems we'll be onto a new arc.
Interesting to see Kang show up this way when the MCU had to drop theirs. #xmen97
Why is there a train in Interbay just laying on its horn on and off the last few minutes? #seattle
#SpiderMan was a very enjoyable (sorta) MCU entry! Hit all the Peter suffers beats (because everyone he loves is gone or had forgotten him) while still being funny and having his quips and everything. Did not expect a Hulk fight let alone Jean Grey and quiet mutant (maybe?) more introduction.
I do feel the movie could have engaged a bit more with the masked government agents in black SUVs kidnapping a citizen in broad daylight, but maybe what they showed is enough?

@swarthmoreburke@mastodon.social The bit in reading post about finding new text in old text definitely resonates! I've been reading aloud (so different modality) books from Redwall series, the first few of which I read 5-6 times easy as kid but not at all in last 30 years. It's been a fascinating exercise in terms of memory but also having aged into a different reader than I was then, and how kid engages with it differently than I did.

Huh, kid Steam Account can't view game achievements on a store page because I have "community generated content" disabled.
I failed to account for the bus detour on Broad around the closed end of the Seattle Pride parade. They really needed some SPD to keep buses moving through the backed up intersections!

Monday!
Watched the #StarTrek #MTG preview stream. Some neat mechanics and references, like Kirk creating 1/1 red creature tokens. The LCARS frame lands are really pretty. The chat was very mad about the pre-autographed Captain cards. Art was mostly good although there was a Beverly one that was very strange looking. Did they not get likeness permission from Gates?
Very tempting to get the Commander decks to have neat cards. Need to make space on the KALLAX if I'm going to preorder.
