In two weeks, I will run The Frost Dreamer, the one-shot introductory adventure to Kaung Pi, at BIRCON in Berlin. https://ttrpg.events/bircon/bircon-2026/schedule/000008 #ttrpg #dnd

The Frost Dreamer - Berlin International RPG Convention 2026 - BIRCON

In Kaung Pi, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the spirits is thin and attended to carefully. Most of the time, this is enough. But a trader has vanished, and you are sent to find out what happened.

Shamelessly reposting because this is solid #humor. I can only assume y'all just didn't see this idea for an all-gnome party in D&D:

  • Gnome Ann, the warrior
  • Gnome Eight, the token Cockney
  • Gnome Adder, the laid-back one
  • Gnome Orr, always a bit on edge
  • Gnome Anchess, the Hispanic one
  • Gnome Ahss, the other Hispanic one
  • Gnome Sane, just a regular guy from the Holler

Side note: this post is not possible for LLMs

I've already read this book in English, so reading it in Italian is good practice. Progress is slow, since I am still at early A2 levels. Still, I persevere. But there are a lot of inside jokes that I lack the cultural references for. If you are curious, this RPGNet thread has some details on those: forum.rpg.net/index.php?threads/brancalonia-spaghetti-fantasy.933066/ #dnd #ttrpg (comment on Brancalonia: Manuale Di Ambientazione)

Replying to
@fnordius@muenchen.social To be honest, while it is written for #DnD, I don't think D&D is actually the best #TTRPG for this setting, particularly since it only permits characters to rise to Level 6. Maybe some hack of #WRFP would work, although whatever system you use, you would need some good rules for brawling scenes.
