just sent a meshcore message to matrix and matrix to reticulum and back 😀
#meshcore #matrix #reticulum
someone built a #wsocial page with numbers and something like "relevant yet" or so as domain... does anyone remember?
found a real #mosstodon at the @acccgn@social.cologne
i had two sessions in the #openspace about the #fediverse and #mastodon i used the hashtag mosstodon as an example for hashtag use. and later found this in the courtyard ;)

"once data is transferred to WhatsApp, we have no way of verifying exactly how it is processed or handled, particularly because WhatsApp is not open source."
would be quite familiar for me using #matrix :
"once data is transferred to Threema, we have no way of verifying exactly how it is processed or handled, particularly because Threema is not open source."
or with a different take: i can live with the knowledge of a different security level per room. so getting a message before stepping into a bridged room would be cool. so i know that one matrix room is bridged to whatsapp and threema for example.
i think the real pain are all those other constrains like "only within eu territory" but we dont want to know where our users are.

@haufegroup@freiburg.social it was a blast, and having our own part of the #diday 81 humans followed our invitation and entered the matrix, so the whole community of the @acccgn@social.cologne is able to easily communicate with each other during the year. having "digital twins" of all rooms the acccgn26 became a little #fosdem ;)
kudos to @micheal@social.cologne to support this effort.
cc @bjoernsta@eimsbuettel.social our "recipe" was a really short one ;)

thats a really nice title, in some minutes i will also start with a "photograph" of the very healthy and distributed internet. and to quote @timbl "this is for everyone"
and what shows that better than a museum and the @palaisdetokyo
"this belongs in a museum" is the same but different.
next post inside @hausdesengagements in @freiburg ;)

go to https://app.meshcore.nz/ with a chromium based browser (needs web-bluetooth or web-usb)
-
