Day 7 of learning #ZephyrRTOS with my freebie #NXP MCXA156

Adjusted 6th day's work to include an LVGL bar that relies on % of min and max value. I didn't feel like learning grid/flex layout so I just used child objects and shifted both to left right extremes

https://codeberg.org/sounddrill/ZephyrRTOS-NXP-MCXA156-SSD1306-tempsensor

I might stop tracking this series after a couple of sensors more, it's served its purpose of getting the ball rolling and I don't see myself stopping soon. If you do wanna see more from me, please let me know :D

I wonder if we need open source dev fanfics 😳 Like idk imagine @contrapunctus@fe.disroot.org is an active mapper by day but turns into John Maps by night and keeps mapping like a badass (???) Where they go, "it's mapping time" and mapped everything in their vicinity🔥🔥

I used to tell people that I'm not gay, just depressed

But I don't really feel depressed anymore 😄👍🏳️‍🌈

(external factors affecting me at the time making me really sad which I have more or less nuked from my life)

#Mumbai is such an amazing place with a very accommodating culture I was heading to Thane this afternoon when going to the OSM mapping party on the other end of the city(I need to head there and shift trains) and the train was extremely overcrowded. I managed to squeeze myself right outside the coach entrance, barely hanging on and the people accommodated me on the already crushing train somehow and helped me find my footing, guided me on how to stand to maximise space. At the end, we had enough space to somehow squeeze one more fellow on there. This is... humanity. This is the level of respect they have for each other's struggle.

@jalefkowit I get what you're saying, I really do. Despite this being a big part of my childhood, I have boycotted her works. However... I cannot bring myself to hate my friends for not boycotting the things I dislike. A weakness of mine

Replying to

@nemo@mas.to @aral@mastodon.ar.al I love the last one! My hybrid course told me to start uploading assignment answers online through their form system as part of the assignment evaluation thing 2 years ago This app has been a life saver for scanning them throughout the period! If it wasn't for this, I would be using some proprietary ad-filled garbage from the default app store.

Replying to

@MossyQuartz @rbuzz @Cdespinosa this is over-generalization across the board. I believe they are exponentially more evil than 2 dimensional villains in distilled western children's tales. Same with @rbuzz's statement which doesn't make sense to me. At face value, it's racist as hell, because "white" doesn't exist. We're all human beans. But the gender thing is even stupider (https://www.ebsco.com/research-starters/social-sciences-and-humanities/white-people-racial-classification) I'm just asking them to clarify in good faith if they were joking... because I'm not able to read the sarcasm well enough. The micromanagement thing doesn't hold up as a joke because the people in question do not mind micromanaging their subordinates, or so I assume.

Replying to

@blinry @postmarketOS the sad thing is that my phone which *should* support this does but I'm told it uses Cairo/software rendering... If it helps, I'm on a mido running qcom msm8953, and my gpu is an adreno 506 This means some GTK apps run really slowly, and scrolls take forever(seconds per frame territory)

I was about to send a long CW'ed mental health post but I closed my phone in campus mess without drafting and tusky lost it. It was about a crappy week I've had and not measuring upto the standards I'd have held myself to a few years ago This is a larger sign from the universe for me to stfu and just work on myself instead, I suppose... since I feel a bit better now

The Open Hardware DevRoom at IndiaFOSS 2026 is community-driven, which means you get to help decide which talks make it onto the final schedule. To ensure this, just like last year(IndiaFOSS 2025), Absurd Industries is organizing a public poll allowing people to select what talks get counted and what talks don't. The process is super transparent so you can trust your vote counts Stats from last year: https://balubabu.dev/articles/What-the-Community-Chose-OpenHardware-Devroom-at-IndiaFOSS-2025

Good news. We're setting up #xonoticindia again.

Bad news. I've sold my soul and now further control over it to Larry Ellison by upgrading to a PAYG account.

Continuing from last post: https://sounddrill31.github.io/blog/p/xonotic-india-is-on-fire-almost-literally.-its-not-looking-too-good/

@pg somebody I met through dad's work showed that multiple LLM services at the time just thought he was dead. He was popular enough to get enough to be indexed so all the other info about him was legit, even back in 2022 where they were a lot lot lot less capable than today, except this one detail 😭 Wonder if it's possible to poison public info to do the same for first impressions lol
