The shuttle cruised smoothly on autopilot, heading down towards the planet. Less than an hour to go.
Grek'x listened silently to my 20th century earth music compilation. But when Creedence Clearwater Revival began singing, his six eyebrows (if that's what they are) crinkled.
"Strange words: I wanna know, Have you ever seen the rain."
"Coming down on a sunny day," I completed. "Do you mean it's strange to think about rain on a sunny day? Earth weather can be variable."
"No, I meant the idea of seeing the rain," Grek'x replied.
"I guess when the rain is coming down it's hard to see it," I said, wondering about the weather on his homeworld. "But you can always see it bouncing in puddles or rolling down windows."
All of his eyebrows stretched out straight. "Do you mean you can see water?!"
"Well… yes. Can't you see it? Like in rivers or lakes? In a glass?"
"No, water is completely invisible," he said. "You're a more interesting species than I thought."

"You stole the prince's bejewelled crystal eggs?! Why would you do such thing?"
"Boredom. The queen's holiday speech was going on forever, so I sneaked round the back of the hall. The eggs were on display and unguarded."
Loud shouts startled us.
"We'd better run, the guards are coming, and they don't sound happy. This isn't what I meant by joining the Easter egg hunt!"
