I had one as a kid.
The added benefit is that you get to hear a view of our world from outside our world and that is useful even before democracy dies. It might even help to prevent a total collapse or speed the recovery.

It is so remarkable to see such ignorance on display. I miss the days when these types had to hide their ignorance. I hope that this will make it easier to deal with these types but I'm not sure about that.

just chatted with a chem engr friend of mine.
The cooling that they want is done by evaporating water. So the real issue for them is what to do with what is left, the poisons, salts, PFAS, forever chemicals, etc.
When they start with clean water what is left is mostly salts, and carbonates of one sort or another.
As always, they want someone else to pay.
They can concentrate more money if they dont have to spend it cleaning up what remains after evaporation.

conservatives took over in 2000-2008, huge eco mess.

conservatives took over in 2016-2020, messed it up again
liberals cleaned up some of it 2020-2024
now conservatives are messing it up again by destroying the actual systems that we use, #healthCare, #education #environment.
