But what most were modeling in the presentations for years and continue modeling is that it doesn't matter to you when it happens to people in the arts..."that's not real work".

Something women commonly encounter is that men ignore their expertise.
PLEASE before replying to a toot asking for a particular kind of information from people with a certain area of expertise, ask yourself whether you have the expertise asked for. And look at the woman's profile - it's quite possible you'll find they have expertise in the field you're about to lecture them in the basics of.

If you live someplace that hasn't completely defunded and erased public horticultural science, you likely have websites that are part of agricultural extension and many of them also feature information for home gardeners. Evidence-based information.
Pick the one closest to your area to get the right info for your situation.

If you think science matters to people and that's why you communicate it - disabled people are a subset of the set people.
If you don't know how to create accessible communications, and are unsure of the information you're finding online, there are plenty of disabled people here on Mastodon. Ask.
Images, video, audio, palette...these have accessibility aspects to learn.

If you have a source of wine/lambic/sparkling juice corks, this can be a decent source of mulch with less disease risk.
You can make mulch safe from many things by solarizing it for 90 days, but I was fairly certain the local sources of free mulch from downed trees weren't doing that.
The corks *do* float so you wouldn't want to use it anywhere flat it rains a lot. Inside a raised bed, there were edges that would keep them inside. #Gardening

I miss having access to a good dissection microscope.
This is a wasp I found on the floor, dead. I used a 10x, then 14x loupe on my phone camera to take photos.
If I'd had my wits about me, I would have done it all from the same position so I could have used Focus Stacker on them.
I don't know my insects so I do not know which species this is.

I'm old enough that I experienced glass soda bottles being a regular thing to return to the store to get the deposit back.
