2/2 We left there before it happened and only later saw helicopters fly past, however what I did notice was the lax security on the main roads, even remember remarking on it on arrival. I just want to clarify: the park where it happened was PART of the parade, not "the edge" as news etc. claim, people marched there as well, used the portable toilets, rested in the shade... Complete failure by state & police, as this is THE regular venue for the biggest gatherings of #Germany not just #CSD.

There were some small plastic fences, police officers or cars here & there, but even after so many previous vehicle attacks on events in the EU, very few actual blockades. Honestly I expected at least simple concrete blocks on the entry points. Really seemed ill prepared for an event with hundreds of thousands in attendance.

Recently convinced a friend that Meta glasses ain't all that great and not to purchase a pair, especially after providing an article about people in Africa watching you undress & on the toilet etc., through them ;)

I do however suspect that it might be because the oil & gas in Norway is below the sea, which makes it complicated to extract. Therefore also making it hard to control & steal, which also makes it an unattractive target I guess?
