Am I missing something or is #meshcore documentation even more impenetrable than #meshtastic ? It seems to just be one gargantuan FAQ?

I'm seeing a lot of misinformation going around about Instagram losing end-to-end encryption (E2EE).
People seem to think all their chats were previously secure, and now, because of this change, they're insecure. That's inaccurate.
Unless you'd gone out of your way to enable E2EE (which disabled a lot of Instagram's messaging features), your messages were always insecure. Nothing has changed, except that you no longer have the option to go E2EE-secure.
📝 New from me: This weekend I'm trying a virtual ruler, a disk usage detector, and a movie storing tool.

Pretty crazy vulnerability given that all it takes is a few easy node name changes and advertisements to anyone running vulnerable HA add-ons

If I hadn't already dumped too much money into mesh nodes this year, I'd be buying this too 🫠
I'm looking for remote full-time or freelance work!
I have five years of experience in tech journalism as both an editor and writer. My portfolio includes hundreds of technical guides, editorials, product reviews, and news. I specialize in covering Linux and open source software, but I also have published articles on agriculture and local history.
Additional experience includes grant writing, college tutoring, transcription coding, and municipal watch-dogging.
New from me: some free Linux apps I've been using a lot lately. (Well, OK, I actually don't like to use a terminal with distracting scanlines all that much. But it's still cool)

🐧 🎉 This week I'm starting a new blog where I'm covering news about the latest Linux distro and software releases that I care about. I'm writing in a succinct and blunt format that I wish all news was written in, so I hope you appreciate that too.
You can check it out here. I hope to have the newsletter operational soon, so sign up for that if you like how I'm doing things :)
This is a new running list of media-centered job openings that don't suck. They're mostly located in the #KansasCity area, but some are fully remote: https://cryptpad.fr/pad/#/2/pad/view/ZwqD1absqMQi6tSPQNKrLBtvlZbFG88MhtNES6QVCNo/

Not all of my CD cases fit inside the drawers and racks I've been organizing them with, so I got this baby at a thrift store to hold the oversize ones

The new playlist folder implementation is sort of just cosmetic, but as someone who makes a lot playlists, I'm definitely going to take advantage of it!

I've been waiting two years for this

To get screenshots for this article, I ran KDE Neon Unstable in VirtualBox and it kept crashing, despite following Neon's VBox instructions. Had to use safe graphics mode, which I'm pretty sure messed up some of the graphical features I was trying to showcase in the article :/
Reminder that if your library has Freegal, you can download music every week for free using your library card, and you keep it forever. Plus, by using the service you're helping the library keep its numbers up, which are important for staying funded.
