mastodon 4.5.18Computer geek. Go player. I work somewhere, but these are my opinions, etc. A boost does not (always) imply an endorsement. Been around the "social media" block. Myspace, Orkut, Yahoo! 360º, Facebook, Google+, Ello, Twitter, Instagram, and probably a few I've forgotten (or suppressed).

So...
What _would_ happen if, say, Montenegro (the country behind ".me” -- https://domain.me/about-me/) decides to get the attention of the US and suspend id.me, which is used for logging in at a ton (most?) of federal and state websites?
https://id.me/government?source=wallet-homepage-v2
It would be no more unilateral than the autistici.org domain being suspended out of fear of US legal threats, or certain M365 accounts being disabled as a result of US sanctions, surely?

@stux@mstdn.social Perhaps the follow-up question to the folks with the "No" answer should be: Would you like help setting it up? 🤯

@jschauma@mstdn.social What the hell. I know what "verschlimmbessern" actually means but out of habit I hit the translate function for the post and it spit out:
The English language does not know "vibe coding", which is why it says "vibe coding" instead.
That's... next level.
Is there some kind of SEO hack going around that I have missed?

There wasn't much hope when I got stuck down that letter hole, I think. That broke the streak of 15, starting a new one tomorrow.

I was somewhat stumbling in the dark (three rows, one letter!), but then someone turned on the music and lit up the room 🎶

That's a funny way of attempting to throttle requests being thrown at their overloaded servers 😏

Not so #SilentSunday in the park, this morning 🐇
One of these weeks I’ll learn to check for events at a park before heading over, but this was not that day.
Happy to see the kids having fun, of course. 😁

Yeah that would be a tad problematic.
About 99% of my email addresses with various companies/services/accounts are of the form @spam., which I assume gets some sideeye when people actually look at the addresses.
I've had that domain for over 2 decades so there's a _lot_ of junk in there.
@stroep@mastodon.nl Deze naam klinkt errug bekend. Ken ik u toevallig ook onder één of twee andere namen? 😁

@lambda@chaosfurs.social @jschauma@mstdn.social In my case, it possibly was (the translation is coming from the Mastodon server which is configured to use deepl.com at this time).
The @ivory@tapbots.social iOS client gave the same result and I _thought_ it used something on-device (from iOS) for translations, but I haven’t verified that yet.

@dcbaok@fosstodon.org @mcc@mastodon.social for some reason the first thing that came to mind is Zoom’s minimized UI when you’re screen sharing 🤔

@perspectivet@mastodon.online @mattblaze@federate.social @synapsenkitzler@digitalcourage.social advice from the account with 491 followers to the account with over 34k? 🤔

@acedtect@mstdn.social So here's where I think it gets confusing. That page is https://www.patreon.com/dtns/about and when I'm NOT logged in I see those numbers (first screenshot) under the video, as you indicated, but when I'm logged in that page (only showing the video and not the different tiers, that's on a separate page then) shows no numbers (second screenshot). Is that something you (as the DTNS account owner) control? Seems silly to have to log out to see the stats.

@acedtect@mstdn.social I've checked Home, Community, Membership, and About a few times and I'm not seeing those numbers. Obviously a nitpick now that I know where to see the numbers, I'll let you decide if it’s worth poking Patreon about that :-)
