I would never discourage anyone from gardening, but this is wildly optimistic. Growing vegetables takes time, space and effort, and money - you need fertilisers and soil conditions. I find this kind of story not only misleading, but can set people up for disappointment with what should be a joyful pastime.

@fesshole A lot of consultancies use freelancers and sub-contractors. I think of it as the "white middle-age man tax". Clients end up paying an extra 30-40% so they can deal with a white middle-aged man rather than a woman or non-white person doing the work. 🤷♀️

#auspol I wish the WA govt would do this. At the very least, they should make train travel up and down the Kwinana Freeway free. That road is like a parking lot from Rockingham to Canning Bridge, regardless of the time of day.

Ugh. I just made the mistake of answering my phone and, of course, it was a charity asking for (more) money. I've been donating to them monthly for 30 years. But, the call centre person wasn't going to accept that I wouldn't increase my regular amount. I had to end up hanging up on them. 😡
