I believe they are also daring to emphasise how important it is to cover the robust part of the upper face because that's what Facial Recognition mainly works on!
@gimulnautti@mastodon.green@stevelieber@mastodon.social They remind Australians of the ALP over here. The ALP were once 'the party of the people' but their neoliberal drift has left them with only one policy - stay large and maintain a two-party state at all costs, so they get voted in every now and then as 'the alternative' to the Coalition and its pure evil.
Of course it's backfiring. Alternatives are appearing, and the nazis and other conservatives are tearing each other apart in their mutual greed and insanity.
@libreoffice@fosstodon.org Windows was never terribly secure but 11 is just a liability.
Modern Linux is pretty overblown and awful, but at least all its bollox can be reliabily deactivated.

Sigh, that seems to be a trend, dammit. I use Brave browser a lot, and yes I know the org founder is a complete tosser. It's just it's the best tool for the job right now. I dream that a culture comes that forks things all the time for moral reasons and does a good job of the forking (let's not talk about using LLM's for that, brrrr).
@BrianJopek@mastodon.world MAGA is finished. The question is who was that rambling pile of desperate garbage actually aimed at? Was it a coded message to his Putin handlers?
@stux@mstdn.social Brave browser (yes, yes I know) and Enhancer for Youtube. uBlock Origin on another browser. Newpipe (and sometimes a cracked vpn-based blocker called Blokada) on Android. I also have a few anti paywall options going too.
Sometimes I feel guilty. I wish there was something I could do about that, without feeling even sicker.
@caitp@mstdn.social There is nothing wrong with your airports, it is the single best airport experience I've ever had, this is pure bullshit right-wing thieving corruption.
