This is awesome.

Well done Lewes!

The more I think about the #WildFires in #France and #Spain, the deeper my despair becomes.

The human cost is high, yes. But, so far, in mainstream UK #media I am not seeing anything about the #environmental or #ecological costs.

The habitats destroyed. The pollinators incinerated. The animals displaced (which puts further habitat pressure on the places they're going into) or burned to death. The top soil and substrata decimated.

Yes, we look at the pyroclastic thunderstorms and feel we're looking into a hellscape.

But we focus on the displacement of people, although always with the idea that it may be ok in the end. Fires will get out out, people will go home.

And next year? And the year after? Regardless of that, my increasing feeling is that the human cost is yet to reveal itself in failed harvests, lower fruit yields, class competition for who can afford to flee and how has to stay to the last moment.

#ClimateChange is real. But when will policy makers wake up?

Happy #TwinPeaks Day for everyone celebrating!

@tschenkel@mathstodon.xyz my understanding - entirely possible wrong of course - is that it's one and done for neuromancer.

I haven't heard, but hope, the Sprawl will follow.

Well shit me. If Reform get in, this is a pretty OneState move..

Are we surprised? (Angry, yes)

I think the BBC is bowing to anti #LGBTQOA pressure and specifically anti #trans pressure.

Soon we'll be back in the 1990s with no meaningful representation.

For. Fucks. Sake.

I don't think I have ever left a #gig early.

Until today.

AFI supported by TR/ST at the Prospect in Bristol.

We went because we're big TR/ST fans.

And he bombed. Lost the audience in the first song. Sounded like he was singing at a different speed. Sound quality was appalling and the mix was right out. Eventually he left with barely a word to the audience.

The AFI.

Well. We were in the wrong bit of the mosh pit. The bits where basically fights were breaking out in the first song.
And the sound quality was shocking again.

The women behind me lasted 30 seconds before throwing their drinks up my back.

The men in front of me were basically chasing each other around and/or wrestling. I spent more time shunting people back into the pit than I did listening to the first songs.

There are some nights that are just not your nights and this was one of them!

I think it is time someone remade 'Threads' or 'The War Game'.

If so, what's it really like?
