BTW... I'm well aware that you're a game development expert (much more than what I ever will be, I admire you :ablobcat_uruuru:) and you very likely already know all the tricks. And even with that in mind, maybe you still find some cool trick/idea in this ancient PC Game Programming Encyclopedia (website, use CP-850 encoding, pcgpe.exe, no guarantees about being virus-free or not frying your machine) from 1996. It was very useful for me back in the day, when coding my first crappy casual games usign Turbo Pascal.

Al ser alta, tiene menos probabilidades de ser asignada porque el DHCP del router empezará por las IPs bajas, pero si acaban llegando muchos dispositivos a tu casa (amigues con teléfono que te piden la clave de la wifi, por ejemplo) el DHCP acabará teniendo que usar las IPs altas también.
Busca una opción parecida a esta (captura de mi router, cada router tendrá sus propias opciones) para especificar el rango que DHCP usará para asignar direcciones (de modo que no usará las que estén fuera del rango) y asegúrate de que la dirección estática del ordenador no esté en ese rango. En mi caso el rango disponible para DHCP es .10-.254
Ah, y como dice @karlggestd@mastodon.social en otro mensaje, cuidado con las consecuencias imprevistas de usar dos routers. Sólo uno de ellos debería estar actuando como servidor DHCP. Si lo hacen los dos se monta un lío tremendo!

O que si no es así, sabes lo que haces, y ahí ya no me meto. Pero los dos dando DHCP a la misma red (ej: 192.168.0.X)... malo.

@karlggestd@mastodon.social @d_prieto@peoplemaking.games Y para asegurarte de que está libre tienes que decirle al router que deje un rango sin utilizar para DHCP (o podría asignar esa IP reservada sin querer).
Yo en casa, en una 192.168.0.X, reservo desde .2 a .9 y el router asigna el resto. Las IPs estáticas las uso para la Raspberry Pi y la impresora en red.

@abslutebeginner@masto.es Oye... si programas en modo 48K, cómo demonios haces para introducir los comandos BASIC sin un teclado con todos los símbolos serigrafiados? Siempre me pregunté cómo quienes tuviesen un Spectrum+ (los fabricados por Amstrad) podían programar sin los nombres de los comandos en las teclas. Y ya, ya sé que en modo 128K se puede teclear directamente (si mal no recuerdo), pero no es lo mismo. Además, el teclado de plástico del Spectrum 128K pre-Amstrad (y supongo the también el teclado de goma) no invitaba a teclear muy seguido (tenía un tacto más duro que una piedra, al menos para peques de 10 años, que era lo que yo tenía en aquella época).
Siempre me pareció una idea brillante el ahorrarse desarrollar un parser de 48K BASIC al obligar al usuario a introducir los tokens (comandos) con las teclas.
Yo en el punto de mira... siempre tuve al Amiga 500, pero allí se quedó, siendo la máquina platónica de la que sacaban los pantallazos que aparecían en las cajas de los videojuegos comerciales.

BTW, awesome screenshots :ablobcat_uruuru: The game could have even been a text adventure (with the screenshots as illustrations) and would still look awesome. Although knowing you, I'm sure it's something much better than a text adventure. A point and click one, maybe, or even an action game.

Now that I'm writing in this thread, I have to say that I did that kind of complex text selection by using caret browsing (F7), which forces the text cursor and allows you to move it around, select text and do other kind of stuff.

I guess that's the opposite move of what the article shows, something more pervasive in our current world, unfortunately.
