I typically carpool in the cold season, bike in the warm season.
This week, though, I've been driving myself in my wife's car and I've noticed: like me, most people are 1 to a car, people drive aggressively and with little to no regard for others (especially cyclists), parking is expensive, gas costs a fortune, I get to work shaken and spend the day irritable.
Bike is at the shop today. I'm going to see if they can expedite. Driving is crazy!
Welp, I just discovered that I can use a background image in #heliboard.
✔️ Wife and mother-in-law out of town
✔️ ~4M episodes of anime in the chamber
✔️ Stocked up on gummies 🍁 and snacks
✔️ Supposed to rain all weekend
Yep. I'm good.
Eating dried apricots, drinking Scotch, and watching anime while it rains and rains. 🥰
I've taken to calling my pal with 30 years more linux/unix experience than me, "sensei" whenever he helps me through a problem. He looks annoyed when I say it, but I don't care. His knowledge is saving me days of frustration.
Or, more accurately, after days of frustration trying to figure out problems myself, after telling him, the problem is solved in minutes. 😅
Il Palazzo sama from Excel Saga. A terrible villian, really. While Excel and Hyatt are off (failing at) conquering this corrupt world, he's got time to learn electric guitar (poorly) or lose at a handheld dating sim game.
Now and Then, Here and There. Absolutely excellent series. Full five stars! Shu is a big-hearted simple kid who gets pulled into some harrowing situations and fights to keep innocents safe in a desolate world ruled by a mad king. It's heartwarming and heartwrenching, while full of action, great characters, and good music. :zerotwoheartlove:
Explaining to my (non-techie) pal why I need over a dozen domains for various reasons and projects and feeling a bit like a crazy person.
I keep thinking of this meme.
Today is Charles Boycott's birthday, but I refuse to celebrate.
You know those spam emails that are something like,
"I've noticed your website could rank higher in Google..."
Who are those targeting? I feel like anyone managing SEO (whatever that is these days) in any capacity would not need this advice.
I try not to toot about #linux too much because 🤮 but after fighting with #SharePoint all day at work, again, it's nice to sit down at my old Thinkpad at home, fire up Debian and things are just nice and simple and working.
Fun fact: December was barely more than two months ago. Even though it feels like at least a year since then.
Another dreadful lack of #animegirls in my feed again. Better do what I can to help.
Here's a short thread...
I just paid $8 for a London fog. It's tea with milk and sugar. Good golly.
My city lacks good graffiti.
Ahhh! Friday night.
