The waits have expanded to 16 months for hip replacements. So patients are forced to rely on addictive pain management to cope. Patients joints deteriorate further, affecting other joints body systems. The result of all this cost saving is to increase the cost of care for patients on the waiting lists. It was conservative liberals who brought this in and NDP has been unable to solve the problem.

My blood glucose is down to 11.4 the lowest yet. It's not just sugar. Carbohydrates have a lot to do with it. This libre3 thing is teaching me how different foods affect me.

@CatherineBabault@mastodon.social It was filmed in Gibsons BC. The restaurant set is at the head of the government dock (red railings). Still called Molly's Reach. I think you can go inside. Gibsons is about 50km south of where I live. I think most of the stars have passed on. I don't know if there are still log reclaimers working the coast because the mills have largely shut down. Gibsons is at the head of Howe Sound. I used to take my boat in there on weekends. There's a great pub opposite Molly's Reach.

I got my Z Fold 8 setup finally. To get around the lacking a SIM/eSIM I put an old Sim I found in a drawer in the z fold 8 and that was enough. Now I can get an eSIM and start using the phone. However I just ordered a case and I don't want to use it without. So I'll wait, which I hate because I have a new toy and can't use it. Maybe I'll fly a drone. Or fix the lock on the back gate.

My body used up all it's potassium yesterday and by late evening I couldn't stand up. My first ambulance ride. That was fun. they haven't decided if they want me to stay a day or so yet. I had a chest xray, probably for my COPD. I had two oral doses of potassium with breakfast and I have a machine pumping it into my arm. I have a well balanced diet so I don't know what went wrong. My blood glucose was too high so I've had 2 shots of insulin. I've been trying avoid taking insulin but it looks like I'm at that point now. Sigh, well, I'm fine again. So make the best of it.

Vi came over for dinner. She needs a new phone so I bought her an open box Galaxy S22 for $339 a nice pink case and screen protector. Should arrive next week and she'll give me cash. She's on her nobility scooter but she's afraid to drive home through the forest because bears are active. Fern is driving ahead of her. She lives down the hill but there are 3 bears living in this area and one has cubs.

@virtualbri@mastodon.online It's laughable for private equity to claim they are good for business. They hollow out a companies assets then force the company to pay more to keep going. They are bad for business and ultimately their failure will hurt everyone. Laws should be passed to collect damages from private equity shareholders who take profits causing businesses to fail but aren't held accountable for the damage they do.
The sad faded blonde bombshell leader of BC's Conservative Party thinks she's going to tackle long waits for elective surgery by cutting taxes for the rich and cutting services for the poor. Apparently she didn't get the memo that austerity doesn't work. What's needed is higher taxes on the rich but Conservatives would never do that.

I have ordered a sim because I can't transfer an esim. So I can't setup my new Z Fold 8 phone. I tried Samsung help and the chat bot told me to have my HVAC technician help with setup. I do need an HVAC tech to fix my pool heat pump but I'm sure he/she won't do phones. If we had AI in the 1960s it would have sent the astronauts to the wrong moon, probably Demos.
Fortunately my new Watch9 setup flawlessly.
