They didn't abstain because they didn't think the system works, they abstained because the candidates were a choice of two different evils. If neither side cares about the issues you care about, then it doesn't matter which one wins. Stick with socialism, and you will get everyone's votes. Go back to capitalism and you lost most of us.

Everything has a potential to be abused, and given the number of people who are emboldened by the rise of literal Nazis, it will be abused. Techbros need to learn to hire consultants again.

Sometimes even something asked for should not be fulfilled, as an older geek I learned this lesson long ago. The vast majority of humans are stupid, so stupid they think LLMs are intelligent.
