@crisps@mastodon.social I used to read Maupassant short stories as a teenager. I loved them. Never tried a novel though. Asimov is a great favourite of mine. Have you read any of his short stories? Definitely recommend them.

@4censord@unfug.social This week I have shortened trousers for my brother. About to shorten some for me. I have a granny square crochet in progress to make a hat and a knitted black v neck jumper waiting to be finished. Too hot to do either. I have some material ready to make a skirt (simple gathers) and matching loose blouse. No pattern needed. Been waiting for some nice weather to wear it. About to alter a dress for my daughter. Just Finishing altering a linen shirt to a short unlined jacket with cotton lace inside hem sleeve edges and collar. Added patch pockets. ( I am retired)

@dbellingradt we once passed a lorry (as quickly as we could)that was carrying a crucible of molten aluminium along a motorway. Thought that was as scary as it gets. A lorry of anti matter beats that!

@RavynWitch@kind.social printers always seem to know if something is urgent as well Mine screwed up the paper(already installed and functioning earlier) took me half an hour to un jam it! I have 2 computers attached and it takes turns ignoring one or the other.
