I have avoided my FOMO by securing a ticket, last years Goatmire was the highlight of the [developer] year and I'm looking forward to more Elixir fun again this time! #MyElixirStatus

@wj@ruby.social you know those videos where someone posts something cool, and then a broken attempt at it with the music changed to disjointed offbeat notes? That'd be pan-pipe Dire Straits
@rick@tinnies.club would be a good name for a metal band too

@lawik as an independent I would sponsor goatmire in a heartbeat but 3000 would be a stretch at my current client level :/

@dw@infosec.exchange @buzzyrobin@chaos.social did someone let “AI” design battery packaging 🤣
So... if someone were to want to move a large ruby open source project from Github to Codeberg... how would people feel? What would be the success criteria? Would some form of mirroring be needed?
@rick@tinnies.club I'll have one honky tonk, with a blues egg, and a side of boogie edmame
@fox@front-end.social the cubes are giving it a very severance vibe framed like that!
@acf@masto.alancfrancis.com UK petrol/diesel is something like at least 50% tax? When I lived in Australia we had basically equivalent prices yet a pound was worth almost $2
@acf@masto.alancfrancis.com they do have a pipeline, the problem is that the gulf to the west of them also has two choke points, one being the suez, and one being another strait the houthis are currently rattling about closing
@acf@masto.alancfrancis.com Its amusing that he advocates for the alternative that wouldn't work [banning it outright], with an example of how it didn't work [prohibition].
