I miss the old small internet: Carracho, BBSs, IRC, AIM/MSN, radio, forums, little communities where you knew who was online. Looking for kindred spirits — old web, radio, photography, cycling, analogue tech, slow internet, proper conversations.. #OldInternet #BBS #Hotline #Carracho #IndieWeb #Fediverse #AmateurRadio #Shortwave #RetroComputing

Replying to

@Thomas_Ekstrom@mastodon.nu Next time, get some slushies (or something similar) down you beforehand! It will help keep your internal body temp lower longuer as well as your performance.

Replying to

@ross @simeon @jpoesen In the UK you have things like Men's Sheds and repair cafes which are popular for this type 😆 Also local cycling charities like Bren bikes and Drosi bikes in #chester and #llangollen

My favourite thing about my wife being away for a couple of days is that I have 1 day of fun and then another day I can spend tidying all the mess that was created by some freak while I was asleep...

I have to say it's impressive how much chat the guys from #themove have!

How much #cycling conversations can you have!? Seemingly infinite! 😆

Replying to

@b9AcE@todon.eu A lot of officers operate a bit like the "computer says...no" sketch in #LittleBritain The law has been broken so my job is to nab that person and let the court deal with it. It's not for an officer to make a judgement call on wether the graffiti is of quality or not, if it made things nicer or not.
