@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu you and national governments are making us use those closed boxes. Don't force us to use apps only available on those stores, or on any particular store. That will allow us to choose systems that devices were we're not locked into them. Make it mandatory that public services use only open APIs, open data, and standards for protocols and file formats, promote the creation and adoption of software that uses those things.

RE: @jt_rebelo@ciberlandia.pt

@moof the people did way wore than handover flowers, they immediately provided moral support, on occasions intel about movements of forces loyal to the regime, surrounded the secret political police, fed the revolutionary forces, they immediately became an integral part of the revolution.

RE: @debby@hear-me.social

@moof also being a member of NATO, meant that some officers were in close contact allied personal and even temporary postings abroad, wich exposed them to life in democracies and liberalism. The military were not happy fighting an endless war, which they knew wasn't a solution, and they also were aware that the time and opportunities to use the war to lift a political solution, was long gone.

@moof those changes in captain commissions for conscript officers, was the trigger for starting the secret meetups, but it was soon to all that the reasons for disgruntle were more political, and soon political objectives like the creation of a multi-parties democracy, end of war, end of colonization and others, became the goals of the movement.

@DrJLecter@beige.party you have to go read it again... It doesn't say no kill switch, it says no global kill switch. It also says the features are optional. AI, isn't always LLMs... As an example Firefox has small models for translations with negligible power consumption, speech to text, and text to speech models exist for a long time and also don't consume a lot of power. The way the models are trained is being part of the open conversation on the Ubuntu community.

@ophiocephalic@kolektiva.social indeed, it was launched, launched versions only get fixes, not changes (except for some specific already included packages via a special process).

The article also doesn't go into the important details about the what, how, when, etc... Which does make a big difference.

The article doesn't support what you say.
It doesn't say that 26.04 will include AI features.

Neither says that AI will be added in the way you said.

@ZekuZelalem@dair-community.social All military and defence publications in the world predicted this would happen (Iran blocking the strait), it was clearly one of the most important parts of Iran strategy. Details on how have changed over the time, but this was 100% predicted, and the resilience of the resistance was also predictable.
