@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Text in the image: "I started a new position about four weeks back and quickly noticed a teammate who seemed to be constantly left out. So I made a point to include him, check in, and treat him like part of the team. Today he stopped by my office, handed me a gift card, and—kind of nervously—said, “Thank you for treating me like a real person.” Girl, I might actually cry." A woman did that for me once — now a friend. What would happen if more women did that...? #kindness

URGENT. NEEDED TODAY. PLEASE BOOST FOR ME. Friends, all the recent medications before and after surgery now mean I have developed oral thrush. It's painful and irritating and I urgently need medication to relieve it. I'm under the poverty line, disabled and chronically unwell, and truly at wits end at this point as you can imagine, after everything else😅 If anyone could help me reach my urgent goal of $45 to cover this and some numbing throat spray and I can go and get relief today, I'd be very grateful. Thank you💖 #boost #boostforreach #help #disabled #chroniciallyill #MutualAidRequest #mutualaidspace #kindness #hope #gratitude #holdon #relief #care #kindnessmatters #loveinaction #disabledmutualaid #trans #transgender #bigrnder #neurodivergent #antipoverty #povertykills #mutualaidsaveslives #chronic #chronicallyill #mentalhealth #wellness #struggling #optimism #catlover #doglover #creative #femme #masc #human #tired #fatigued #MutualAidThread #MutualAidMondayhttps://ko-fi.com/aces_funhouse

A 74-year-old man who collapsed in the street after feeling unwell has praised the actions of two teenage rescuers who got him to hospital. Nick Peacey was waiting for a bus after attending Cardiff's Tafwyl festival when he collapsed outside Cardiff Castle last Sunday night. Josh and Taylor, both 15, were passing by and went to Peacey's aid as he drifted in and out of consciousness. They gave him water and called for an ambulance, only to be told it could be a while before paramedics arrived. Others also helped at the bus stop until the vehicle had to leave so the pair waited with him for an hour and a half before Taylor decided to call his mum to take Peacey to hospital. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp36412eyx1o #GoodNews #Kindness

Landlords get a bad rap, often unfairly, but now from Melbourne comes the story of one who gave a long-term tenant the home she was renting. The magnanimous gesture is typical, 9 News reports, of the late self-made millionaire, who fancied himself a philanthropist in the waning years of his life. It was 23 years […] The post Renter Is Shocked When Landlord Gives Her a Home After 20 Years Being a Good Tenant There appeared first on Good News Network.

I like and boost posts. I comment. I cheer people on. Why? Because interaction is important. You never know what a difference that interaction makes for someone. What takes ten seconds to type could make someone's day a bit better, give someone hope, save a life. We all need connection. We all need people genuinely cheering for us. #kindness #community #cheeringon #goodthings #supportoneanother

Dang, I'm so emotional right now. Someone IRL gets me. With my new rockstar GI doctor, she had ordered two imaging to be done. I waited what I thought was an appropriate amount to schedule with Imaging, and then have done several follow ups. But I realized I was being "too much" and apologized to their front desk. I said I was scared for the reason for the one imaging, and get in my head and try to do *something* to move it along. But I would do my best to be more zen to not push them away. But instead of chiding me, they said: Oh no, no, you are all good! We totally get it and want to make sure we are all on the same page! Please don't ever hesitate to reach out. Have a great day! I'm not crying, those are water droplets from the sky. 🥹 #Doctors #Kindness

I studied linguistics and communication because I wanted to help people understand each other. 🌸 Now I live in a world that desperately needs translation, empathy, and honest communication... and so many people have simply decided they'd rather hate, mock, belittle, and attack. The fuck, really. Anyway. I'll keep translating. I'll keep communicating. Someone has to. 💜 #Communication #Linguistics #Empathy #Kindness #Solidarity
