History cannot be erased by abolishing UNRWA's role, nor can the memory of displacement or the needs of the people be obliterated by a mere declaration. We stand in full solidarity with UNRWA and with all who believe that the people of Gaza and Palestinian refugees deserve life and dignity, not to be left alone to face hunger, displacement, and destruction.
Because dignity is a right, and because the people of Gaza and the refugees should not be left alone.

That morning looked like so many mornings of war… a heavy sky, exhausted faces, and children carrying stories far bigger than their age. 💔
I returned to an UNRWA summer camp, searching for a small piece of the life we lost among the ruins. I was looking for the school that once held our laughter, our dreams, and my two dear friends — Yaqeen and Qamar. 🕊️
They were more than friends. They were my childhood. We sat together in class, shared our little secrets, laughed at simple things, and wrote dreams in our notebooks that we believed would grow with us. 📚✨
I entered the camp carrying a heart full of longing. I searched between the seats, waiting to hear their laughter, waiting to see their smiles again…
But they were not there.
Only two empty chairs remained. Two silent witnesses to a childhood interrupted, to dreams that were never given the chance to bloom. 💔
Outside the camp stood a lonely tent among the destruction. I looked at it and felt the weight of history — a reminder of the stories of the Palestinian Nakba, of families who lost their homes and carried their memories in their hearts. We never imagined that another generation would know this same pain. 🏚️🍉
War does not only destroy buildings. It takes away the small details that make life beautiful: school mornings, friends’ laughter, notebooks filled with dreams, and the people who were supposed to walk beside us into the future.
I carry the memory of Yaqeen and Qamar in my heart — their voices, their smiles, and the dreams they never had the chance to achieve. 🕊️

When I used to hear that someone had developed early-onset Alzheimer's disease, I would feel profound sorrow and heartbreak for them. I would often wonder: How could they possibly live the rest of their life while trapped in such a condition?
Today, however, I find myself wishing that I had Alzheimer's—not because I take this illness lightly, but because I can no longer bear the weight of my memories.
Every time I remember what my life was like before this genocide, and compare it to what it has become today, I am overwhelmed by a pain and anguish that tear me apart from within.
I don't want to remember anything anymore.
I don't want my memories to keep bringing back everything I have lost, everything that has been destroyed, and everything that has been stolen from my life.
I just want to live each day as if it were the very first day of my life—with no memories to haunt me, and no past to torment me every single moment.

I looked at them, unable to answer, because there was nowhere safe. Bombings and attacks were everywhere. Just a few days earlier, there had been a bombing at a beach resort, and many innocent people had been killed.
But I didn't tell them. They had suffered enough from fear, bombings, deprivation, and having their childhoods stolen. I said, "I'll take you in a few days. I promise I'll make your little hearts happy." I'm sure of one thing: I will, and always will, do everything I can for my children.

A US charity plans to use AI to monitor its Gaza classrooms for ‘hateful’ speech
A U.S. charity in Gaza is worried that teachers at its schools might stray from a curriculum it says promotes peace and tolerance, so it plans to record classroom conversations and use artificial intelligence to flag speech deemed “hateful” or “inciting.”
There is no indication the charity intends to share its classrooms’ recordings with anybody else, but fears about the potential misuse of surveillance technology are heightened in Gaza after three years of war. The Israeli military has used AI to sift through intercepted communications and find suspicious speech, including to identify targets for strikes.
The charity has raised money largely from individual donors, including American Jews, and says it’s partnering with North American, Israeli and European aid organizations and hospitals. Its schools, called Academies of Hope, provide meals and medical and psychological care. The first school opened last summer.

One father says, “My little daughter cries day and night, begging me to bring back the doll she left behind in our home.”
Another searches through the rubble for family photographs, the only pieces of a life that once was.
