@davidcelis@xoxo.zone I hold the same belief that writing code is fun (including unit tests :-). But I've been repeatedly surprised by colleagues who didn't, at a rather deep level, that I came to accept it's not fun *for everyone*. (And those folks tend to move to managerial positions, "coding" being deemed junior-level work. They'll be in a position to influence the use of AI.)

What's disheartening is when our media and leaders do the promoting by continuing to use these platforms, because "reach". The public radio in my region keeps suggesting to contact them through their FB page and WhatsApp. Most of our politicians are still active on X.

@heidilifeldman@mastodon.social barbarism is the correct word. And normalizing it, numbing the general population to it really worries me. Every day is a new low with these people.
